just a clarification on where their lyrics came from. she had a long time obsession of writing down quotes of random people around her. and now as she joined the band and didnt know how to write a song, she grabbed that notebook and formed songs out of it. its a quite unique and genius way to do it.
@@rileyxxxx agreed .. why waste time and space to spew negative venom .. no words needed, jus move on .. if you've got nothing positive to say .. say nothing. Period. End of story. Next.
Thank you for that cool info!! Did not know that, whenever I introduce people to this band I just say she sings/talks random nonsense and I fucking love it
love how she's trying to keep her straight unimpressed face about whatever nonsense shes singing about haha. and scratchyard lanyard is a freakin masterpiece of a song.
This performance is incredible. I love this band! Defiantly detached and somehow deeply personal Dry Cleaning is a triumph. Haunting and sexy this band lets its excellent musicianship show with burning guitar solos and bass lines that empty your mind of all thought. For one I absolutely love the lyrical style, I cant get around how catchy her phrasing is. Pair weird interesting lyrics with interesting structure, all while being so fucking cool how does she do it. Front to back super nice! The guitar in Her Hippo keeps me coming back. Thanks guys
I sae Tom in the streets of Barcelona and he was mega kind and invited me to their smaller concert in a little venue in the barrio of poblenou that week, he is one of the most creative and expressive guitar players today
The most exciting combination of music and spoken vocals-who would have thought it would have worked? The musicians are so talented and Florence is so enigmatic.
I can't believe how much Flo reminds me of my late wife. She even has my wife's complexion, and hands. Oh how I miss her, she was so cool. As for the Band, this is the best I've heard in Years!
It was SUCH a good live show. My partner would initially roast me for playing their music/listening to them because it seemed weird, but seeing them live changed their mind LOL. Can't wait for their new album coming out soon!
I love this group. The sounds the drummer makes in this recording are so "organic", it's incredible. It sounds like the feeling of actually hitting stuff. I dunno, it's cool. Super group.
i saw them at first unitarian church in philly. about 200 people at most! from the first 30 seconds i knew this was a special band! totally unique and doing great music! the girl has a great stage presence! totally different than other female leads! she reminds me of a witch! she is haunting and charismatic! the bass and drums are tight and powerful! and that guitarist is amazing! this group is making art! btw- ive seen them twice so far!
Absolutely ! Everytime see her on screen I know. I am so far from dreamin'. There's really a person on this planet that got exactly same heart and soul.. ! Stefan / Husum Germany
I saw them @Porto Primavera and was f genious! Under a scorching sun at 17h00 and a full house cheering and loving them all! They deserve the main stage next year!!!
This band is reminiscent of the beatnik era meets psychedelic coffee houses of the mid-to-late '60s. Post modern shoe gaze, perhaps? Florence reminds me of the female version of the character Neil from the 1980s comedy The Young Ones. I dig the whole enchilada.✌
Yeeees!...I want to thank Simon Lebon for mentioning them in an interview, because i'm loving their whole vibe! *I love that she seems to be the most unlikely of rock stars, but her delivery is everything...🤘🏿

Saw them at Empty Bottle in Chicago. Two night run. 2nd night Louis Nick and Tom all hung out and talked for a bit after. I got a props for jamming in the crowd and one set list because they forgot it the second night. They fucking rock and the new album is 🔥🔥
Wow. Always an amazing band, but also kudos for the sound mix. Amazingly balanced (helps the band leaves room for each other, but still... amazing job!)
Yessss, I love this because I missed their set due to a conflict. PLEASE please please keep the uploads coming Primavera!!! Excited to see what's next (Jessie Ware, maybe?!)
They're so good, man hah. It does take a bit to get used to the deadpan vocals, but I can't imagine the music without them now. Post punk stuff has been so good these last several years. I hope it keeps up!

the William S. Burroughs school of cut-up technique
She should have written down some instructions on how to sing them too
@@lilnutty6821 shes not singing, shes talking. maybe you missed the point. if its not your type, move on. no reason to share your opinion then. ^^

Viking Hair is one of the greatest pop songs ever written.
underrated comment
I like it a lot, but Dog Proposal I think is much better
pop? wtf
@@ramn_ Pop in the way of style, it is catchy & as addictive as crack and rivals Abba in the way of catchy. Not to be confused with mass popularity.
Not sure if this is pop
flo’s subtle dry humour is great, there’s always a line that’ll get me on a song

Dry Cleaning are proper awesome, and I hope they get as big a listenership as possible.
I love it how detached and yet flabbergasted she comes in
The most exciting combination of music and spoken vocals-who would have thought it would have worked? The musicians are so talented and Florence is so enigmatic.
I have listened this whole set too many times! everything is just so perfect❤😸
I can't believe how much Flo reminds me of my late wife. She even has my wife's complexion, and hands. Oh how I miss her, she was so cool. As for the Band, this is the best I've heard in Years!
She seems to have a bit of a gift for facial expression. The opposite of deadpan in a deadpan sort of way.
Sorry for your loss.

What's wrong with weird? I don't get it 😁
@@Chrishna I just hate it when people lightly use "weird" as a bad term for something they cannot comprehend.
Weird? Pretty conventional in a think-it's-weird way, actually.
angular and beautiful
most of my favorite bands started off as challenging listens
So glad youtube recommended this to me. I think I found my new favorite band.
I love this group. The sounds the drummer makes in this recording are so "organic", it's incredible. It sounds like the feeling of actually hitting stuff. I dunno, it's cool. Super group.
this band is mystical
Yeah and i. Kinda doubt any two shows are alike.

I just love the rift for Scratchcard Lanyard.
Was walking across the hill at the festival and bumped into a friend, sat down and enjoyed this great show with a cold beer nothing could beat it

Their record was the one I listened most in 2021. Very cool band!
I hope they are very proud of this performance, they have polished there show , very clean

Defo one of my favourite bands. Reminds me slightly of The Fall and Aldous Harding
And the Gang of Four and (even more) Howard DeVoto period Buzzcocks. Yes. That goodd

I was privileged to saw them last year in Zagreb at a smaller stage. It was unique... it was very intimate and meaningful. The concert was super!!!

fantastic sound, my thumbs up for the sound engineering team at this concert
I can see why Dry Cleaning would go over big in Spain. So cool

Radio? Yeah maybe more newspapers will cover them also

Unstoppable Dry Cleaning, making 21 22 makes some sense, at least.
dry cleaning has such an unique feel😨😨
I love the sound and the angry lyrics! This band proves punk rock is alive!
amazing voice on a solid after punk !!
I am in love 💚🐊
I don't know anything at all about this band but I think I'm just gonna watch Her Hippo on repeat for a while before finding out.
That bass tho? Oh well ,well
her hippo i first heard in the car on bbc radio six and i’ve loved it ever since!!
What a riff magic of megan
This band makes me feel like I suffered brain damage and people are trying to talk to me, but in a good way.
ha! perfect

A big jar of mayonnaise. Indeed! The singer intrigues me. Excellent band!
