Cheapest option is to buy a used ecu with same part number and then have dealership code it to the car.

What chip is the immo file contain and how about swapping it? Will it not work?

Hi, if I order a new ECU from factory, do I need to code it before installing ?
If You order new ecu by You car VIN number with full information inside ecu, then just need connection to car and joying. But if You order just simple new ecu then need cloning all info from old ecu.
Ecu will need immobilizer coding.
Either clone old like in video or have shop pair new one.

I don't know for sure, but they will probably send it completely empty. Because I had to replace the VW ECU with a new one, it was bought completely empty from the factory. If the ECU is replaced by an official dealer, then he has to record everything via OBD.
