There's some nice minor updates over the 170R and it seems like a great overall package, but the asking price of $1100 is just unacceptable. The price of markers have just gotten out of hand and it's hurting the sport. This should've been ~$799 and it'd be much more compelling.
Just buy a cheaper older gun that you can play at a high level with ?
Imagine how we felt back in 05’ paying a grand for a Timmy 😂. Markers haven’t changed much in price points. My 05’ E-Oracle was around a grand/1100 ish as well.

Nice thing is 90% of a 170 is in an etha 3 and everything else. So you'll still be able to get everything you need to maintain the gun for years.

DSR+ is still the best bang for your buck IMO. I shoot a TM40 and still can't believe how well the DSR feels.
how does the tm40 feel? I wanna get one. its still better than the dsr+ though right
@@gamingwithaiden9751 TM40 was my first top tier marker. I then shot the DSR+ and couldn't believe that it wasn't a top tier gun from how it shoots. I would highly recommend shooting both before making the purchase on one. Or get both!

whenever i watch marker reviews they almost never use this angle. when i see a marker shoot one of the main things i look for is accuracy. but they never show it like this. not sure why... its simple. subscribed

I have a dsr+ that marker shoots phenomenal the trigger. It’s amazing very very responsive.
So hard to think it will be that much better but always can improve I guess.
I'm kinda disappointed you didn't test it on the trampoline...
You guys got the best gun testing videos.. call me crazy but the asa on the lv2 is better then then new cs3 asa not talking about adjustments I’m talkin as a more reliable and a smother function…new cs3 asa to me feels flimsy weak n feels like it will break on me

the market is crazy right now you got guns from like 2000 - 800 depending on color. All with similar features and give or take a couple pods between all of them efficiency wise, its hard to really justify a more advanced board either because at least for most lets be honest we are only going to use a couple modes and tournament lock so is it really worth it idek anymore lmao
This is more efficient than a cs3, costs less than a cs3, shoots just the same as a cs3, and looks better to me than a cs3…. PE just killed the cs3 themselves lol

@PunishersPaintball I definitely second this and now considering the new sale price/ used price on shockers it may even have a lot better cost/quality/feature value than the etha3.
Real question is, is the CS3 worth it?
The CS3 shot is different from the cs2. So if you are wanting to upgrade from the cs2 expecting the same shot, it wont be the same

I upgraded from an old Invert Mini, so for me it’s a yes lol from a cs2 pro? I wouldn’t have done it.
This shoots almost the same for lot less money and is more efficient and looks better in my opinion

This is stupid. Not the video. This release. I mean at 1100 bucks they priced it way to high. It’s going to actually hurt cs3 sales why should anyone spend 1800 for a cs3 now at the entry to mid level price it’s like emek or fle mech from inception
If I would have known this was being released I would have never bought my cs3 and just bought 2 of these I mean I absolutely no reason to get a cs3 over this

Same thing with the 170r/Cs2, the 180r will be the "cheap" version of the Cs3. I still don't understand why people buy a Cs2/Cs3 over the mid range category guns (170r/amp/DSR+)

Basically the same gun 170r for more money 180r ! What a farce . There is NO hugs upgrade in performance . Totally NOT worth the extra money it costs .

The real question is does that barrel fit on the 170 ? Because if it does I'm milling mine out and buying those inserts .

let me chime in real quick you could be doing this with any barrel a popular thing thats been around forever is people would just get whatever barrel they have and you get them all bored for freak inserts so if you already had a freak kit your good to go but since most stuff is ac thread nowadays you could probably take a barrel you already own send it in have it bored for whatever insert kit you want or already own and just run that on your whole line up
My only concern was with the s63 barrel sleeve actually extending our past the threads, I knew about the boring to fit freek inserts but they go all the way into the barrel , I guess my question is will it work with the s63 barrel sleeves .
@@BAGofTALENT If you want to use those inserts on your old barrel, you need to mill out the back piece (all the way) AND the front piece (part of the way). AND you need to cut the thread section on the back shorter.
I'd just buy a full S63 kit in that case and sell off the old barrel if you want.
