    Such natural talent! I love, love, love the fabric you use and I love even more the fact that you "upcycle."
    The process that you used (stitching edges to keep fabric from distorting/stretching) is called "stay stitching."

    It looks so great! I'm so glad I watched you video before I tried myself because I also perfer that more flowy look on buttonups so you saved me some trouble with the interfacing. Also inspired me to look for cool fabrics outside of a fabric store! Keep doing what you're doing because it's all great!

    Hey. Awesome video! Would have loved if you could make a video focusing on how to create a lapel collar from pattern to construction. I have looked all over CZcams and have not found anyone teaching how to make it... Please help! 💥

    Thank you thank you for this - I’m trying to make this shirt right now and the instructions for the collar are so confusing. Bless you.

    Have you tried making a closer fit? I'm not saying your blazer looks bad, I get it's part of the style. Part of the appeal of DIY tailoring to me is to get that perfect fit that store bought clothes very rarely have.

    • @THEJOCELYNRENE
      @THEJOCELYNRENE Před 3 lety +1

      That's probably WHY he made it oversized. To you the store bought clothes aren't fitted enough but for him they might be too fitting, when he prefers an oversized look. His style & preference is just different from the norm & is outside the usual "appeal" of "DIY tailoring" I guess but that's also probably why it's DIY so you can customize it to how you like it lmbo IDK.

    How you find all these cute fabrics at goodwill, I will never know loll

  • @greedycommerce

    Basting requires 2 or more pieces of fabric. What you did is a stay stitch.
