My wife gave me a Weekender for my b-day this week. Fit & finish is perfect, sharp, snappy and centered. Great follow-up to the Proper, which I carry almost every day. For me it is a home run! Love it.

@@johnagen3688 if it is not in my pocket, it is in my backpack. The handles have developed a cool patina and it remains on of my favorite knives.

I like it, but if you're not going to have a clip (I want one, but skipping it is understandable if you're trying to make a 'modern traditional'), we need a lanyard hole.
That weekender and bugout combo is spot on!!! Absolutely!!! Match made in heaven!!!!! I just ordered the weekender 317bk 02!! Im so freakn revd! It will be paired at all times with a 535-3 or 940-1!!!!!!!

Very nice! Price is a bit steep but if I were in the US I'd most probably get one, here in Europe they are $240 (pre-order) and to be honest I'm still on the fence... Thanks for sharing Zach! #stuckaroundforthesillyness 😂

Interesting! Didn't know Benchmade made something like this. Nice micarta, I like the slots instead of nail nicks, nice choice of blades & the handy bottle opener. Cleaning traditionals can be a pain,but the KPL "doo dads" would work well! 😸 Thanks for sharing Brother Zach! 🙏🏻💙👊🏻💥
I love it... I'm all about it...... just wish it had maybe a couple more tools...... maybe tweezers and a tooth pick... or a pin maybe... but I do love seeing different knife companies responding to the ask...... that's the American service knife for anyone that doesn't know about it.......

Nice 🔥 I have a TwoSun swiss army style knife And the main blade is 14c28n plus has the same hole type opening! So much better than bent back fingernails 😂✌🏻

The design is awesome. Such a good looking knife. Not sure on the value though. For $225 you could get a full sized benchmade like a grip or a 940 and then also get something like a victorinox tinker. For me personally, having a full sized knife and then a victorinox is more utility and more value than spending that $225 on just the weekender.
You can get a full sized griptilian for way less than 225. There's alot of value in this knife though considering you get 3 implements and micarta.
Can they custom shop it so we can swap the bottle opener for an awl?
That would be much more useful for me. I can open a bottle with a lighter or just about anything else in a pinch 💪
Weekend leather work? Kinda makes the name uh not work.
@@SurvivalistMedia an awl is nice for lots of tasks, including the leather stuffs. Untying knots is my most frequent. I feel you on the work statement though
Id prefer a pry bar cap lifter to a second blade like a bantam.

I think they should of included a leather sheath to put the knife in. Since it’s designed to put it in your pocket or a back pack or tool kit of some sort. That will keep it from getting scratched up as it rubs against other material.
A sheath would have been nice indeed!

Was able to check one out at REI today. unfortunately this bad boy is mushy and soft as a mother. Hopefully benchmade will figure out slip joints in the future because they haven’t figured it out yet.

sorry Zach 🙁 that thing is mushy, Benchmade needs to step up thier slipjoint game, that halfstop is weak sauce and those giant finger guards are ridiculous. I think anyone who's not a Benchmade fanboy and likes slipjoints will give this a hard pass, Benchmade needs to take another look at the SAK and realize there's a reason why so many people buy them.
Interesting knife I think I like the Jefferson more though.

Beautiful knife but the value seems like a stretch. A 40-50$ Case is an iconic piece of quality that lasts a lifetime in my book. Is this knife worth 5 times a comparable Case folder?
Which compatible case folder are you wanting this compared to?
@@zachstuff I guess I was just saying that relative to a Case stockman, which are more in the $75 dollar range (I’ve got an older blue bone one) does the Benchmade give you $250 dollars worth of knife when they function comparably? Either way, I love them both and would love to have the weekender too
