Gadzooks ! A reply from the master himself about nylon wrist pin plugs.... we made a set for my 1929 Blackburne 500... so far.. so good. Now.. a tough assignment.... My 42' ,,, 2nd gear ONLY... violent surging.... transmission rebuilt.. nothing major.. new cutch installed... no change 😎

Ash: i need a oil dip stick for my WL, can a 'Ford' dipstick be used, put in bends, cut into with a grinding wheel, maybe stamp with new level marks ? ie can spring steel be worked ?.
ps my CD's alll seem to be starting to skip / stick, i listen to the usual stuff SRV, Warren Zevon , whatever; if faced with the same considerations would you replace, with hindsight and experience, with CD's or vinyl, I think the immediate pro's and con's of either format don't need repeating, |Discuss.

@@theworkshopuk he didn't actually, i was asking if the material i suggested could be 'massaged;' into the appropriate form. At the moment i am using a Costa Coffee stirer. to gauge level, very much as Ash suggested as a 'go too'..
