Imma be honest.. A live anime adaptation to me will never never ever be as good as the anime wether it be from a Japanese or American production.. But damn this just changed my mind. Like how can a 3min video give me goosebumps? Please if they make an actual live adaptation of Boku No Hero i hope they hire u guys.
It's because techniques in a lot of what makes movies have been perfected along time. And plus, we have horsepower on great camera gear, great stunt work and tons of horsepower to use ingenious ways on CG, just like that camera panning out shot when he was yelling for help. And of course, the writing and knowing the source material. If it's done by anime fans like the people here. Bound to get super awesome

I had a few quirk ideas, one I feel might be more villainous (names subject to change)
Juggernaut: can absorb all kinetic energy and convert it into their own muscles. The more hits they take the stronger they get although are vulnerable to all forms of attack not subject to force.
Mirage: Can create illusions of any size as long as it's within line of sight, including on themselves.

Thought he was being ignored by everyone around him, but really just didn't know his quirk or understand how to control it.
That conceal quirk is like the ultimate anti-Deus ex machina quirk.
Without that usual feeling of "oh some other hero will probably come save them just in time", it adds a more realistic feel to the fight!

Just in case people don't know, the lead actor's real name is Gui DaSilva. He's a real stuntman who did Black Panther (in the suit) and many other things in Hollywood. He's also big time anime/martial arts fan :)

Bro the most underrated part that shows the true sign of a talented storyteller, Veil basically has an entire villain story in 2 lines of dialogue (2:05). His quirk EXPANDS to engulf other people, but I feel like villains of MHA are deformities in a sense. Veil's is that his area of effect surrounds him, making him invisible to people outside of the bubble CONSTANTLY. Him saying "they can't hear you." then "yeah, i know the feeling" shows that he was likely never saved at some point due to his inability to be seen and that led him to villainy. Chris Cowan knows how to SHOW not TELL, I'll be watching out for more of your work!

I'm assuming the student's quirk simply lets him teleport to the last object he's touched. If that's correct, then the way to escape this is with deception. He obviously needs help, and to do that he needs to escape the bubble, but the speed guy has already shown he can get to the backpack fast enough just throwing it and teleporting to it isn't going to work.
So I think he'll throw the backpack towards the edge of the bubble. The speed guy will rush over, ready to interfere, but as he starts moving we see the student removed his all might keychain from his pack, and is throwing that in the opposite direction. He teleports to the keychain instead, calls for help, and since this is based on MHA, I'm betting that instead of pros helping him, it'll be some other UALA students that show up to help him take down the villains.

Tyfresh Things and More from the video I picked up two main things.
1) Obviously you can only use melee weapons that are classed as such and for something to be classed as a melee weapon, it’s purpose must be significant and specific to that class/category. A chair can be used as a weapon but is not classed as one in the real world, it’s classed as furniture. A pencil can be used as a weapon but it’s not classed as one, it’s stationary. it’s a common sense limitation.
2) you can only change your weapon by increasing its length. Hence he went from small flip knife > dagger > katana > staff > greatsword.
I don’t think he can revert a greatsword back to a dagger without taking the same steps backwards. length and sequence seems to play a big part in this. I’m also guessing he could throw away that weapon (if too long for the situation) and start again from a smaller weapon he has on his person. It makes sense to me.
Imagine them having the budget of an Rl action Anime adaptation, like Death Note or Attack on Titan. Just imagine.

AGHHH I WAS NOT EXPECTING A PLOT, EPIC FIGHTS AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT IN JUST TWO VIDEOS. Good job 👍
My god, the techniques used to do this are so clever. This is a perfect example of traditional techniques being used creatively. For instance, the lens flares being used to conceal the editing of the teleporter flashing in and out with the backpack, and the match-cuts for the switching weapons was amazing. Also, how you switched the weapons with increasing, decreasing or similar sizes rather than going straight from a ninja star to a bo staff was a really good way to make it smoother. I'm just blown away at how often, when people recreate anime in particular, they overuse CGI and it comes across as overdone, but this is very grounded whilst still keeping the theme and feel of MHA. And finally, for the concealing quirk, even though it was just cutting to a shot without them in it, the music was timed perfectly so that it still felt like an actual quirk's influence rather than switching shots. I love seeing projects like this where creativity and innovative thinking is found in abundance. (Also, the actors/stuntmen do a great job of line delivery for lines that could very easily be delivered in a corny way. They aren't over the top and are grounded in reality, but still are packed with fun and action). I could go on about the camerawork and such, but this is already a long comment.

This was soooo GOOD! When you introduced Heiki and his quirk and the music queued up, it really felt like one of those moments in MHA when it looks totally hopeless for Deku and/or the heroes. I had tears in my eyes by the time the dagger turned into a staff.
Super underrated line of dialogue at 0:38 when the speedster asks the leader "Is the coast clear?"
To the viewer he's just asking if anyone's around when really he's asking if the leader has switched on his Conceal quirk. Good shit.
See, this raises a serious question for me. As the video plays out, its implied that Veil's ability is passive, just that he can extend the field actively.
The question in my mind is, is it actually a fully passive ability that is always on, no matter what, and these three were walking around the entire time and the two original fighters only noticed them when he extended the field to include them, OR
Was his ability originally passive, but he's found how to control it in such a way that he can turn it off when he feels like it.

I like the theory that he is able to control whenever he is using his quirk, as Snapback asks the question that implies whether or not his quirk is activated. I'm more curious - if it's a quirk that needs to be activated rather than be passively one - as to how long can the quirk be on and what is the extent of the field - does it only work in a one mile radius? A couple feet, perhaps?
@@kuraikonguyen9303 Given that quirks are described as being a part of a person's physical being, I like to think that before control is achieved, there's some biological response that causes the quirk to manifest, like how the fear response triggers a release of adrenaline to push the body past its limiters. If Veil's uncontrolled quirk was triggered by a similar stimulus, I can definitely see him having been in a situation that warrants the 'I know the feeling' line when Backtrack realizes he's cut off from outside help.

Joint quirk means the dude has speed, strength, jump and basically whatever is effected by joint extension. If thats not unique I donno what it.

I love how Heiki observed the fight then transformed his karambit into a katana for more range but during his contact noticed he was fighting someone who could distance themselves in an instant and change the katana into a Bo staff that did not go unnoticed guys great work. I also like How the other guy used his speed quirk to counter the teleportation quirk.
Nathan White it was really cool how he watched the backpack's trajectory and went to the spot it was gonna land
If you look closely you can even see him switch from the Karambit into a totally different knife before almost instantly going into the Katana😍 that shit was so slight of handish it's orgasmic
I like how both Heiki and Snapback quickly adapted to fighting the guy with the teleportation quirk.

It is super effective for assassination. You take a blade and only surround yourself with the bubble, so being indetectable. Then you stab your opponent. As long as the opponent doesn't have high-level regeneration, passive invulnerability (even when they are sleeping or unaware of danger), he can easily kill them. Even if they know he is somewhere around them, they must use AOE attack to injure him, but a good assassin wouldn't be detected before dealing a fatal wound.

Eh depends on how its implemented, first 100 episodes of fairytale has some pretty epic fights between erza scarlet and a number of interesting characters. Though there is a functional difference here the weapons are stored in a pocket dimension. Then there is fate:zero where the character archer can "create" any weapon he understands. These are the epic implementations, the less epic implementations are a whole host of isekai anime and they just leave you wanting.
I don't know if you would count it, but creation is kind of similar. It is also done really well in the book series stormlight archives, specifically the 3rd book.
I dont know if you guys know but what both of you are saying is already made into the series and its the momo girl... Which quirk is creation: can create any object known to her and need calories for it. Also cache is different from that since its not creating anything from nothing but it is changing a thing into something.
Momo needs to know the composition of the item in order to create it. Also, it takes her much longer to create stuff. Honestly, weve never seen her even do hand to hand/ close quarters combat. Shes always been a support character
Criminal Zone momo can make anything though which is different than someone who could only make weapons into other weapons. I can’t see momo making a sword turn into a spear into a dagger into an axe and be graceful and masterful with all of them but if that was someone’s quirk they could master all the weapons and be a badass in any situation. Also the fight seems would be awesome with one weapon turning into another in an instant.
