She’s badass, the thing is. There are Dozen of more badass characters that have priority over the screen time and history. They wouldn’t never waste their time giving more time to Tenten to flex. In the anime it might seem there is plenty of the unused time, but in manga everything is rushed because they don’t have time for all cool characters

I can answer that for you. Because they don't have the passion and drive like /true/ fans do - to ensure that they do the project absolute justice.
You should probably start thinking then, and then it will make sense. Fact is that Hollywood has to deal with a lot more parties than a fan group. Hiring actors, a script writer, sets, equipment, choreograph etc etc. This while at the same time meeting the market and marketing demands and the deals pre-set with the original creator and distributor. It costs a lot of time and money and sets a lot of creative limits. Cry what you want but making a real movie is a lot harder than this short. Especially when releasing it on the big screen. True to the material or not, if this short was a full movie, it would not have been a succesfull one. It just does not appeal to the mass market, something that hollywood does keep in mind.

bullshit. theres a market. with technology allowing people to make their own movie and tv shows your going to see whats happening in music where people are making their own music and distributing on the internet themselves with movies. i promise you that. you know jay z supposedly didnt have a market, and now look at him. soulja boy, chief keef, bobby shmurda. so many people who supposedly didnt have markets became immensely successful. the industry doesnt know jack. they rely on past formulas to create new material completely stifling creativity, but the internets changing the market totally and completely.

Fr. Tenten has like 4 jutsus, was shown through Naruto and Naruto Shippuden and she ain't do jack during those 2 shows. lol
I knew TenTen was a weapons specialist but I never realized how much of a genius she is. Neji lives with his abilities and reacts normally. She has to react to his attack, then select the appropriate weapon to counter in that same time. Her weapons really are second nature; an extension of her body to wear she doesn’t even have to think. This video’s amazing quality helped me appreciate her skill. Thank you!

Tenten’s entire fighting style revolves around a masterful use of Summoning Jutsu in order to unleash a seemingly endless barrage of weaponry... but all of those weapons are being summoned from somewhere. Somewhere out there Tenten has a massive shed stocked with an absurd amount of weaponry, and after every mission she returns to replenish her arms.
What I’m getting at here is that Tenten is probably blowing through an obscene amount of money when she discards her weapons; where does she get all her money from? That’s the real question that remains unanswered within the world of Naruto.
You DO realize that from the time they're Genin on up they're paid for all their missions? Considering all they really do is have maybe a handful of outfits, a residence, food, and go on missions, what is there for her to spend her money on other than her cache of weaponry??

Thanks for portraying Tenten as the badass ninja she is(the only one in the series who has mastery over most bladed weapons).
Neji, the only character from Naruto who successfully rose through the ranks thanks to his own strength and not due to reincarnation bullshit or magic.
Actually thinking about it Team 8 is the team that perfectly embodies what I thought Kishimoto was going for in his themes during early Naruto.
So Neji's Byakugan isn't magic? If that's the case, then team 10 was equally so to your point.
Tenten was really the only ninja without "magic" and even then it depends if you count the scrolls vs other inner powers.

The Byakugan was never over powered. Until the series ended what was introduced in the beginning about the byakugan remained the same.

4 years has passed and I insist on always coming back here to review this work of art. What makes this short amazing is not only the special effects, but the ambience and the fondness of creating the anime for "reality", but without losing the essence of the work or how short it is. They were very careful and capricious in trying to get closer or closer to the essence of the anime, even if it may not be purposeful. When you watch this short, I feel like I'm really watching Naruto, although it does seem like a Live Action, but a "reality". The dialogues, figures and whim of doing as you speak Japanese all fit so perfectly that it is explained. Neji here really seems to be an anime with this "teacher" stance and someone who is not afraid of anything; Ten Ten's worries seem so real, Lee's excitement, just ... amazing! Congratulations to the team and thank you for making a dream come true.
4:15 Througout the entire 8 Trigram move I was feverishly giggling with excitement, everything down from the Neji's movement to the outfit and special effects makes this short film a complete masterpiece. It's ridiculous how well executed that move was, I think I speak for everyone when I say we appreciate the time, love and effort that went into making this thing👌

I don't trust Hollywood not to fuck up a live action Naruto movie but you captured the spirit of the anime, translating a lot of the stylistic nuances (script, camera angles/scene cutting, the humour) well without them looking too jarring in real life. Can a big studio just give you a massive budget and access to a great SFX house like Industrial Light and Magic and we'll have an awesome feature-length movie?

Why can't people just appreciate this video for what it is - an awesome fan-made piece that has tried to stay true to the characters in the manga, and one that has fleshed out two badly treated characters? Within the first three minutes, Tenten is developed better than ever, something the mangaka has never bothered to do properly (her sub-par reaction to Neji's death is something I will never get over... In fact, I will never ever get over how badly Neji's death was treated overall - purely NO REASON for him to have died in the war, in his first chapter after being absent from the manga for one year no less).
While we are celebrating over this company's amazing efforts, there're always haters who make senseless, useless comments about Tenten. Yes, she may be heavily underused in the manga since we all know the writer KishiTmoto is a sexist who only knows how to develop his male characters (whatever good he's done with characters like Ino is considerably more substantial but it did come off somewhat of an asspull sometimes) and give them such overly DBZ kinda powers that make very little sense from Part 1 (that made us fall in love with the series and its characters). Tenten's skill set was very nicely shown here and that's what we should celebrate - it's no secret that KishiT didn't know how to portray Tenten's proficiency with weapons properly, and this video is showing him how (shame on him) - instead of ridiculing this character for no good reason. (Go hate on Rin if you have that much time - those mindlessly lengthy flashbacks of Obito's killed the pacing of the manga, and made KishiT rush through his work towards the end).
Yes, I'm a NejiTen shipper as well, so I'm glad that this amazing company actually bothered to concentrate on these two amazing characters who have been so badly mistreated. And to be fair to KishiT, if he didn't want to make Tenten badass, he wouldn't have given her the ability to use and gain possession of the Sage Tools in the last chapter (many believe that if he didn't have to rush through the ending and troll Madara by having Kaguya suddenly appear out of nowhere and become the final villain instead (like WTF???) , Tenten might have been able to show something worthy with the Sage Tools - she must have been given Kumogakure's Sage Tools for having done something good with them in the war and there must have been a good reason for Madara's headband falling right in front of her - one of the many things that KishiT left unsolved just because he wanted to meet the deadline for his The Last movie's love story - which he admitted was something he wanted to write (AND EARN BIG BUCKS from) despite how he's had YEARS to develop his characters PROPERLY in his manga).
Long-time fans are upset by the mangaka's sell-out, so when we do get great works from fans like this video, appreciate it for what it represents - a dedication to the characters created who have managed to touch fans in one way or another, and how Neji and Tenten's characters have been depicted so well here - the actors have made their exchange very real, and I love the scene whereby Neji's lips actually turned downwards when Tenten revealed she knew that he was scared too - THIS IS THE KIND OF CHARACTERISATION WE BADLY NEEDED IN THE MANGA - which the writer FAILED to deliver because he only wanted to show more and more big scale asspulling explosions and go on and on and on about RIN and focus only on MALE characters who are DEAD AND REVIVED (the Four Hokages took the limelight for a great part of the end of the manga) instead of characters who are ALIVE and should have been developed way much more.

RivenX3i perhaps not many notice, but the execution & timing of the music and sounds fits really well with each choreograph & movement; it's all really in perfect timing! this shows that the creator of this video is really SERIOUS, passionate, & a really good one, that takes every single little detail seriously (not half-assed like so many other 'fan-made' videos in youtube!), which is definitely NOT easy, & definitely takes real efforts to make/create something like this/in this level!

This was absolutely amazing and I have to say this is the best real life adaptation of an anime I have ever seen, the actors did an amazing job with both their fighting and the overall movement like when Rock Lee just stood there and only slowly lowered his arm, that actually made me laugh because that is how it is always portrayed and it is so funny actually seeing it, so sad it took me this long to find this!

Tobirama Senju Yeah but this is the reformed Lee, not a brutal as back in the Chunin Exams and even then his anger was mostly focused towards the Branch Family I don't think he would have gone all out on Tenten or Lee the way he almost killed Hinata.
