@Cristian Guerra i think its safe to say i don't rank this album high but i do not hate any songs on it people treat it bad but dude all these songs are so catchy like sulfur, gehenn,dead memories,the butchers hook,vendetta like this album is a solid 9/10
@coffingames6437 yeah ithink the reason they ignore this album is due to paul and joey passing/leaving they view it as a bad omen and I heard that clown did not like the title either due to it feeling like something bad would happen with that being proven a few years later with paul passing
Living under a war machine, a fucked society, we all persist in "This Cold Black", outside & inside. "One day we'll live our lives again" - hope amidst the despair. It's about breaking free from one's surroundings & inner demons, as impossible as that can seem to be from that cut-off a perspective.

The way I see light and darkness is they are required equally, darkness is needed to make the light more enjoyable. (Ying and yang) just like religion needs a scapegoat to indoctrinate you to their beliefs. My belief is lucifer wanted humanity to thrive and succeed so that's why hey wanted Adam and eve to eat the apple of knowledge. God wanted humanity to live on their knees. Before I get the religious people attacking me, that's my way of thinking and I will not change. You need people like me to make yourself feel better. Ying and yang. I started watching your oldest videos last night and I am amazed on how far you guys have come with opening up your minds to different music and not focusing on your preferences. I started doing that a long time ago and found so much great music. Hell yesterday at work I was blasting George Clinton and Thursday I was blasting slaughter to prevail. Today I may put on some 60s and 70s mix. Maybe throw on some Tony orlando. Who knows. But for some reason I just can't get into country. It always gets me angry.

Pathetic Seducer: Someone that could be attempting to lure you in/back to them and is failing badly.
Distortion Sufficient: Whatever is being said/done is being warped just right to fit whatever narrative is being put to it.
This is just my general interpretation of those lines themselves based on what the phrases conjure up in my mind. Time for this night owl to get some sleep. 😴
I think you've got some good interpretations. This song is undoubtedly about the wars in Iraq/Afghanistan post-9/11. I always think that the 'Pathetic Seducer' part is about the U.S. president at the time, George W. Bush. I mean, it could be said that he was trying to 'seduce' the public to get onboard with the wars.

As far as this album goes, This Cold Black ranks at the top of my list, with Sulfur is second and Butcher's Hook to round out my top three.

You can't have one without the other. Everything in existence is duel. One can't exist without the other- up needs down, black needs white, in needs out, good needs bad, ect. Black has always been my favorite. In high school the term "goth" wasn't used for those who dressed all in black, which is what I did. In fact my nickname was Blacki. I stole it from the singer of W.A.S.P. lol....and I find it fascinating that the person who introduced me to thrash and death metal and hard-core is not white. Like you Hollywood6 he is half black, half white. He grew up around nothing but white people because his mom was white and he never knew his dad. And the person who showed me the world of rap was my ex, who happens to now live in Georgia and is a big (6'3") white dude. He took me to my first and so far only hip hop concert back in 2016. We saw Kanye in San Jose. The second night of the tour that he canceled after the 3rd night. 😁
