Sutter got a new Tony Sheridan record recently and that inspired him to go through all the Tony Sheridan songs, who is almost certainly not German.

Well, Tony Sheridan wasn't ever really a Beatle, they just played together on stage and recorded an album with him. He was an English musician who regularly played in Hamburg, Germany during the same period that the Beatles were there. A producer saw the Beatles and Sheridan performing on stage and suggested Sheridan record with the Beatles as his backing group, and with him as the star on the recording. But Sheridan wasn't ever actually a Beatle. The Beatles also recorded "Ain't She Sweet" and "Cry for a Shadow" without Sheridan, but during the same sessions with him. Fun video, nonetheless!

Pretty sure the best Tony Sheridan/Beatles tracks appear on Anthology 1 from 1995.
Sweet Georgia Brown would become the Harlem Globetrotters Theme (in instrumental form).
