I've used the B-Bars in my last several videos and received lots of comments asking if I can review them, so here you go, this is my official B-Bars review (you knew it was coming! ;) ). These are the new adjustable parallel bars from BaseBlocks that can help you take your calisthenics game to the next level.
I don't want to spoil the video for you, but I will say that I am VERY proud to be affiliated with BaseBlocks. I love all their equipment, but they've really outdone themselves with the B-Bars. These are high-quality, versatile and easy-to-use parallel bars that are both height and width adjustable, allowing you to do a huge variety of calisthenics exercises (the variety goes beyond standard parallel bar exercises because you can raise them high for hanging exercises).
*** IMPORTANT NOTE: For anyone who bought the BaseBar previously, please don't feel like you should have waited for the B-Bars to come out. BaseBlocks is releasing an expansion pack soon so you can turn your BaseBar into B-Bars. That will be out in a couple months so keep checking their site!
*** ANOTHER NOTE: BaseBlocks made an FAQ video about how to adjust the height of the bars and other useful tips. Check it out if you're interested! • SETUP / The B-Bars
In the video I explain how the B-Bars assemble, their dimensions, how they compare to the BaseBar, plus all the pros and cons to the bars (yes, I did manage to scrounge up a few complaints so I was unbiased ;) ). But overall, I really love this equipment. I think you'll see it a lot in my calisthenics videos going forward. The only equipment I'd say is more versatile than the B-Bars is gymnastics rings.
As always, thank you for watching! I appreciate each and every one of you and want nothing more than to help take your health and fitness to new heights. So make sure you hit subscribe and tune in for each video. I'll keep uploading as long as I'm alive and CZcams is still a thing.
    -Ryan

For the longest time I've been wanting a good dip station, but I've also wanted a pull up station, but didn't really have a good spot for it. With these going up to 52 inches, pull ups would be practical, and they are also tall enough that I could also use some gymnastic rings. This channel is what made me aware of the B-Bars, since most of the other versatile sets are just typically low parallel bars from Amazon. Also, the bars being thicker is a plus to me. It means less focused pressure on my hands when doing dips.

I can finally do dips without my feet touching the floor on an adjustable bar that is adjustable... my pull-up/dip tower is too narrow to do dips on sadly but it was cheap and is great for pull-ups so this compliments that piece of equipment to add more rows and pressing movements to the mix

Also you have to make sure you're pretty steady. I did an L-sit assisted supine pull-ups with the band wrapped around the center bar and the other at my feet, and I kind of didn't steady myself so it wobbled back and forth a bit. It wasn't going to tip over but you really have to be steady to get the best workout. I have these and the bench and they are great, the only issue is quickly moving up and down takes a while since it's all fitted pretty tight when you first get it. After a while I can move them up/down during a rest of one of the workout routines he's made for these products.

    • @MinusTheGym

Yes, you can. Since the B-Bars are essentially two BaseBars that lock together with adjustable height and width, you can do virtually every upper body exercise with them. What they provide that the BaseBar alone doesn’t is the ability to do parallel bar/parallette exercises like neutral grip pull ups, standard dips, L-sits, tucked planche, p-bar handstands and so on.

Do you think this product would be suitable for really tall people? I'm 6'6'', and just a bit hesitant that it may not work as well due to my height. Cheers would be great to get the feedback, especially is you have testimony from other people

At 6’6” you’ll probably have to use the high setting for dips and other upright exercises. The high setting is 52” so not sure if that will work for you for l-sit pull ups and other hanging exercises. You might want to reach out to their support at hello@baseblocks.fit and ask them about their max height recommendations.
