- Markus, the creator of the Open Source Scan Converter, has created a true digital HDMI mod for the Capcom Play System 1, 2 and 3 arcade boards. While many people have been enjoying these games digitally via emulation, there’s a large group of people out there who still prefer using original arcade hardware. If you’re one of those people, this mod may be for you! Check out the video for more info.

My CPS2 and CPS3 boards are in full view in the video bitchez lets go. Shoutouts to Jose Cruz for modding them and Bob for flexing them and Bob for showing them!
Just realized I said thanks to Bob twice but all good Im hype
* Attempts mod...
....gets a Homer Simpson style flaming bowl of cereal.
For one thing, the 240p output is useful for repurposing CPS boards with a blown video DAC, I know I have a few of those...
What’s the power supply Bob is using for his CPS2?
that intro fucking rocks
Finally! Some 1440p love for once. Cheers, Marcus!
Cool! A new intro!
Dope beat
Great idea but super complex for me. I will stick on my ossc which looks great in 1920*1080 5x on my Oled.
Awesome, thank you!
I know literally nothing about arcade boards. Looks fun tho! Lol
Same. What in the world is a super gun?
@@AltimaNEO an optical sensor for white/black cathode rays I think. Idk what makes it super tho lol
Ah I see he has new firmware. There was no mention of additional buttons when I got mine. While the original firmware works on my board, the updated one prior to this didn't work right. I hate cracking these things open. It will be worth it one final time for that on screen menu though!
what is the input lag of the monitor to use.
What is the best now for cps2, multi cps2 darksoft or misterfgpa? Or is the same thing?
Amazing!
My kit is on its way from ireland
I had no idea the digiAV even had a menu. Maybe my firmware is just old. I know I updated the firmware at least once since getting it.
Yeah, there were at least two firmwares released before the one with the menu. A very cool addition!
great video, does anyone know where to buy that 3d printed piece attached to the power supply at 1:53?
You know the function of that part?
@@zeroxdogma the one at 1:53
@@msamiullah001 yes I know, I asking the same. I have the power supply but that one have a power switch and looks better.
@@zeroxdogma I am using the same power supply as in the video but my connections are all exposed
been dying to get my hand on one of these. Have been out of stock for awhile. Wish there was somewhere else to get it.
Keep an eye on retrorgb.com - More sellers will soon be carrying this and I'll let you know when.
so im going to get all the retro ports available of these games on switch.. im going to get the mister fpga when the cps2 core comes out for that.. but im still going to get this... i confuse me.
Hahahaha, I know the feeling :)
Switch Street fighter anniversary ports have lag 60-100 ms. You will realize when you can't beat the game 😝
I have both switch and cps2 versions. For example I beat Street fighter Alpha 2 on arcade but on Switch I can't get past second Fighter.
@@vasilas432 i beet alpha 2 with akuma lol. just faking them out with his teleport... though the teleport is extremetly ahrd to do without an 8bitdo pro plus macro.
I've just watched it.

where can i get an I/O board like this?
Check the links in the description.
How did you get VGA input on the L5?
It's a continuation of this project. I'll have a writeup about it soon, once stores start selling them: czcams.com/video/_VZp6k-OkKs/video.html
Aight.
nice!
Wait, so are there 3 intros now?
There's technically 2, with a few variations of each.
nice tool for a supergun or a streamer, not so much if you play with a real arcade cabinet. I own a new astro city and play my cps2 in glorious cga on the 29 inch crt (brough years ago when the price was not totaly crazy).
This is not for me. Rather emulation bro. Great new intro btw and badass music. It's my cellphone ringtone lol
Really? That's so awesome :) ...and yeah, I totally understand. Emulation is so much easier.
Pretty ballsy from you, sir, to own a SFIII 3S CPS3 kit board
The CPS1 and 2 are mine, but the 3 is Sabin's :)
Why it's not like Daigo is going to show up to own Adam in his own house lol
Meh, I'll take 2I anyday over 3S.
Woody
Pointless if u want the real thing,u goto go crt
Not quite pointless, there are boards with damaged video outputs that can be repurposed with this, even for CRT use with the use of an HDMI-to-YPbPr or VGA transcoder
PVMs have started dying around me. Both of them. I have low brightness suddenly in one and bad geometry on the other. Also if they do work ok you need to adjust screen size and X Y axis for every arcade game. With ossc on my Oled you don't really need to mess with this.
@@vasilas432 who needs a pvm? Get a 2009s samsung tv with component input and call it a day
