This is my review of the NEW Shea Moisture Tahitian Noni & Monoi Smooth and repair line! This line comes with 5 new products! I really like this line a lot, its great for healthy hair maintenance and frizz free hair. I purchased all the products at Target! Each item is between $10.00-$12.00 each!
I am 10000000000% natural (I DO NOT RELAX OR TEXLAX OR USE CHEMICALS IN MY HAIR!). This product line worked GREAT on my 3A-3C/Medium porosity, low density, fine hair.

I purchased the kit for this Tahitian line last month in March cuz only you & another girl had reviews on this, yours didnt use heat but hers did so I got the kit because Inwantedbto seenif it would kepp my hair intact after it was pressed/flatironed & it was GREAT!! My hair sweats & will poof up on my right side the nextvday so it worked good for that & I didnt washnit or anything for 2 weeks & then the other day on Tuesday I finally washed it & omg it was WONDERFUL for my hair. Like when I had my cousin use it I could tell my hair was soft but when I did it on my own the results were really amazing. I had did a hot oil treatment on my hair with my organic virgin coconut oil from Trader Joe's then I applied the hair & scalpnweekly therapy and let it sit for 20 minutesvthen washed my hair with the shampoo & conditioned it with the rinse-out conditioner after I let that sit in for about 20 minutes. My hair looked like I had a perm on it while it was wet cause it was thinner so I knew right away it was helping me with the frizz conttol then I rinsed that conditioner out & deep conditioned my hair with my KeraCare Intensive Restorative Masque for another hour then rinsed that out & platted my hair in two 3 strand twists overnight using my charmeuse satin bouffant from EboniCurls, when I woke up in the morning my hair 0was very soft & moisturized. I wanted to do a flexirodnset on my hair so when I woke up yesterday I ended up applying the hair straightening treatment to my hair, saturating it with it & combing it through & left it on for an hour then shampooed it out with the shampoo & applied some conditioner again & rinsed it out, then I went to the shop & had my cousin blow dry it & when she did IT WAS BONE STRAIGHT!! I didnt even need the pressing comb or flatiron for my edges, thats how straight it was!! I didnt even have frizziness after blow drying, my hair literally looked like it had been flatironed or pressed. So she applied my flexirods to my hair & I sat under the dryer for an hour & a half but when she tried to remove them my hair was still a little damp so I just came home & let them airdry the rest of the night & put my Ebonnet on thatvI got from EboniCurls & slept with them in my hair. It wasn't difficult at all to sleep with them in my hair either so I decided that I wont take them out until tomorrow & style my hair thatcway my twistout will still be pretty fresh on Sunday for Easter. This is a GREAT line & another staple of mine for my hair, I am very glad that they have made something to combat my frizz because NOTHING else has worked in all 33 years of my life besides when I had a perm on my hair from the age of 10-16, which was the only reason my mama ever put a perm on my hair anyway. I figured when I get my hair braided now, I will use this hair straightening kit and that will work for me & also when I want to press/flatiron my hair. I had did a review on this 2 weeks ago when I pressed my hair & I will do another one on it tomorrow when I remove my flexirods. Check out my videos on it if you can, I got alot of reviews on it cuz only me, you & the other girl who I seen before I did mine had used this product & had reviews on it. I was happy to see a video from you not using the heat & the video from her using heat so that I could see how it would be for me in both curly & pressed states, thanks again sorry for so long
Me too :D) I enjoy buying hair products "even if I don't always use them myself" I like reading the labels on all hair care product & if I happen to find one that I "think" might work I usually will purchase it. If after purchasing the product I find that it did NOT do as it said I will just give it to a family member. That's how I do it!

Oh, I forgot to mention in my comment that I tried the Smooth & Repair rinse out conditioner & love it, it left my TWA so soft and curly. I have tightly coiled 4C hair, but the smooth & repair rinse out conditioner made my hair look as though I had been born with natural curly hair. I was amazed at the results.

Great review! I've been looking EVERYWHERE for a detailed review on this line since it does seem a lot newer than the other products. I don't plan on straightening anytime soon so I don't think I will be buying.

The conditioner from this line made my hair so rough and dry...it felt amazing while it was on, I thought I was on to a really good product for my hair; but when I rinsed it out it wasn't pretty...my hair even looked dull and dried out...but I do love the glosser.
protein treatments need moisture treatment afterwards.

I believe the reason why it didn't come with any leave in condtiners or stylers because its for flat ironing your hair that's what the company suggests it
I definitely think your right. It did give my hair a nice smoother feel, I will try it as a pre-treatment before I straighten my hair too!

Hi Samantha, thanks for the review, so you would not recommend this line for a category 4/b/c hair?? I only wear wash and goes because I do not like to manipulate my hair at at all or use heat but the ingredients sound great for all hair even tho its intended to protect hair for heat styling. I think I will try the shampoo, deep conditioner and gloss. Is the gloss thick or thin in consistency, my hair responds well to a thicker oil and how does the oil smell????????? thanks again for such a thorough review for the new line. I love shea moisture products also
lol I think this is definitely for any hair types. This is either to be used for a repair line or for straight hair, definitely not a full wash and go set. I tried it on my natural hair only to test it out to see if my hair likes it! The gloss is a thin consistency and everything smells good!

Yup! But I used everything as directed. I used the Pre-poo, shampoo, rinse out conditioner on my left side & hair masque on my right side and the glosser!

Hi after trying this product.For a person who flat irons there hair alot and doesn't want frizz would u recommend this profuct or the uncurly system you tried in your other video? To elimate frizz for flat ironing?
I thought the reason for this system was to allow you to straighten your hair without permanently damaging your curls..
I didn't get the straightening treatment. I will try it at a later time. But it does help with less frizzy hair. I am currently no putting heat in my hair.

Lol I cut the rest of my color off. It's still down my back, I'm natural so when I'm curly I have A LOT of shrinkage. Check out my 29 month part 2 video to see where it is.

Well, its hard for me to recommend products to someone because everyone's hair is different but its definitely a awesome product and helped me reduce frizz, moisturized my hair and gave it a nice natural shine to it!

Nubian Proud lol there is nothing wrong with weaves. They are great protective styles and have helped me grow my natural hair down to my waist (check out my channel). Me wearing a weave doesn't degrade myself or take away from my culture. (while I am multi-racial I identify as black). Weaves are fun, versatile, gives me a chance to play with color and protect my real hair.
