Snow blower getting the job done!

- Wanted to show you my beast of a snow blower and how good it gets the job done. I have had it for a couple years and in the beginning there were a couple problems like the auger cable breaking and the carburetor needing replacement. It really does a good job clearing the snow but wish I had an even bigger one for the farm.

Use Apen fuel if you never want any trouble with the carb. It's an engineered fuel, so that you won't have any trouble in the spring. And if Aspen is too expensive just use it before spring. It will keep the carb clean.

It was snowing lightly for a few days and it piled up. The weather has been fairly mild here lately and some of the snow is shrinking.

That trigger steering system sounds awesome. My older 1990s snowblower has a simple pin system where you can decide whether you want to choose one wheel drive for easier turning or two-wheel drive for Maximum Traction. Unfortunately you can't change it while you're on the move with that set up. If you ever do replace your Troy-Bilt snowblower I would stay away from the EFI (fuel injected) engines. A lot of people are having issues with those. Stick to the good old fashioned carburetor.

My tires are severely under inflated. They seem fine brand new machine haven't used it yet. I licked up a pressure gauge and it doesn't even register 1 psi. Going to make sure I get 20 psi in them before first use
I think mine take 14 psi. Check the proper inflation number on the side of the tire.
Snowblowers are not really necessary here in the Netherlands. When I was a kid, a long long time ago, we used to have snow almost every winter. One time it was so bad that I could not make it to school. These days it has become rare. It might snow for a day or so, but most of the time it will melt right away. But one time I did search for what those machines cost in Canada, I was kinda curious, and I was quite shocked to be honest. You can buy a decent used car for the price from a new and good quality snowblower. Right now I am looking what they cost here in the Netherlands but there is not much choice. The first results are all snow shovels, then I get a few smaller electric versions that cost around 200 euro. And the most expensive one that I could find that looks a bit like your snowblower and that has an engine costs around 1700 euro as we speak. it is 75 cm wide, and it has a 4 stroke 302 cubic centimeter engine. Here they almost never mention the horsepower.
I wouldn't care either if it is not the best of the best machine, if you had to do it all by hand it would be far worse, right? A small tractor with a cab and a PTO and 3 way linkage would be nice. But I suppose that those tractors and their attachments are not cheap either. However such a tractor is very multi functional, also very handy for dragging wood from the forest, and mowing the lawn, or pulling a trailer for collecting wood, and so on. Anyway, a big 👍
Yes, we would love to have a tractor but are fairly expensive. Maybe will find a well maintained used one for a better price one day. Thanks for watching!
