I m from Odisha, living in Mumbai from past 12+ years. The food and it's taste found in the Eastern belt, specially Odisha and WB is unmatchable. Sadly people of western side donot know much about Odisha. I am talking about my office colleagues, they hardly know about this state. "Oh Odisha se ho tum, woh Asaam ke age hai na" dude did you bunk your geography class in school?

@@ayanbose7281 couple of years back I had a catholic girl colleague in Mumbai. (She was from Mira road). She was like West Bengal is in the western part of India. I was literally laughing and she was so confident and to justify her argument she told "India k west part mai hai isiliye to uska naam West Bengal hai". I had to show her the India map. Still she was refering West Bengal is in west and Gujrat, Maharashtra are in East. Finally I told her "jaa behen tu jaa, apna kaam kar"

I am from Rourkela...my parents are from Bengal.....I am currently staying in Delhi..... people over here also absolutely do not know anything about Odisha.....I told them the capital of Odisha is Bhubaneswar....most of my office colleagues said it is near Chennai....heheheh.....sab deshbhakt bante hain but desh ke baare me koi knowledge nahi hai....the onus is on us now to be the brand ambassador of Odisha

I was in Puri was a week in 2020 and stayed in the lane where Bhojohori Manna is located. It became my absolute staple! I have visited their Kolkata branch too but this one became my favourite. Hope to visit again. Thank you Rocky Sir and Mayur Sir for covering this place. I had their prawn cutlet amongst other dishes but this was awesome 🙂🙂🙂

7:50 technically poore ilish ka zyadatar control Bangladesh ke paas he hai . There's an interesting life cycle of this fish. It breeds on sea and after that move to river and flow in opposite direction of ganges and once used to flow till UP. But now man made interference has stopped this and we're deprived of it being dependent on Bangladesh.
Bangladesh runs an 'ilish diplomacy' with India too.
That’s due to Farakka lock gate issue and it’s fixed now after 43 years.

The ilish also travels to Gujarat these days. So a lot of Ilish comes from Gujarat too and you won't find much difference in taste between Gujarat and Chittagong Ilish but price is almost half.

There are two kind of bengalis in bengal..
1) who are living in bengal since bengal formed.. they are called "ghoti".. prawn is national fish of "ghotis".. and famous football club formerly "Mohanbagan" now known as "atk mohanbagan" is their club.. food from "ghotis" is less spicy Homely, digestible, sexy...
2) who have came from bangladesh side (mostly), now lived in bengal they are called "bannagl".. Hilsa is the national fish of "bannagls".. football club "East bengal" now known as "sc East bengal" is their club.. as you can see they live in west bengal but their club's name is "East bengal( bangladesh side)".. food from them is super rich, spicy and and may be you will need some medicine after having their food for restore your stomach..
That, prawn dishes are from ghotis, that hilsa dish are from banngls cuisine..

Don’t mind Rocky and Mayur Bhai, but I personally believe Bhojohori Manna is overrated.
I’ve tried vegetarian in their restaurants both in Bhubaneswar and Puri and in both the occasion I was disappointed. The taste of most of the dishes, whether aloo posto or achor torkari or sukto or anything else, was very average, pretty ordinary.
Though my wife said she liked the fish curry.
Correct in Bangalore also taste is average and price is high

Bhojohari mana worst place to have any kind of food. In every curry be it prawn or mutton or fish they put sugar. Every curry feels like sweet dish. Lol worst food ever . Seems Mayur and Rocky choice of food degraded. They try to advertise all kind of fransiche s in the name of street food , Wow momos or Bhojohari mana. Once upon a time they were good and probably very few food vloggers . But now a days lot of great food vloggers and CZcamsr doing great job. Improve guys.

Bhojohori Manna is a brand that serves authentic Bengali Cuisine irrespective of its locale.Odisa or Bengal is immaterial..their food is awesome be it anywhere.really feel sorry for you...good wishes..heal yourself.

The food of 5 southern states are similar. Hence they call it "South Indian Food". Not Tamil food, or Telugu foodie Kerala food.
The food of Assam, Bengal and Odisha are similar. Hence it should be called "East Induan food". It is wrong to call it Bengali food.
