CHEO Telethon 2020 - Jackson's Story

Jackson came to CHEO through the Emergency Department as a youth experiencing mental health issues including suicidal ideation. His journey at CHEO was not always smooth and Jackson has worked very hard with the help of teams inside and outside of CHEO to become the self-reliant young man he is today.
Now, this thriving 19-year-old is building new skills in university and is passionate about promoting mental health awareness through education and advocacy. Jackson knows all too well about the life and death struggles that mental health patients face. By sharing his story, Jackson is helping to end the stigma surrounding mental health while showing other young people that they are not alone.
