I have some in past Summers, but we stay too busy with school and work most of the year.
What specific rod do,you use for shakeyheads?
I've been throwing the 7ft 1in Medium Heavy G-Loomis GCX. Plenty of backbone to set the hook with thick worms, and the fast tip gives us a ton of feel around the rocks. Thanks!
Depth caught? Worm color? Did you mark baitfish to decide where to drop your lines? Besides the roadbed, what other structure did you fish?
A bit more detail in the videos would help increase your sub numbers, IMO.
The deep fish were in about 40ft, and shallow in about 5-6. Green pumpkin worms. Mostly just fished areas that typically hold fish, but anytime we saw fish on the Humminbird Mega Live we'd throw at them. Fished rock all day. Thanks!
How does the gcx rod sensitivity good or bad ??
We've been very impressed. It's a bit heavier than some of our high end rods, but the feel is everything you could ever want. The price point is deceiving, the rod feels very nice.
