Very informative video. As a retired angler, hiring a guide is a bit beyond my budget, so having one of the best guides on Lanier give of his time to provide spot info is very much appreciated.
James F Jimbo is the man!
Man what a hidden gem here. Thanks for the lake breakdown!
Excellent job very informative Jimbo. I look forward to fishing with you sometime. I joined up with LBB as a Co-Angler for 2020 so I can fish it comfortably in a boat because I'm a Disabled Army Veteran. I moved to Georgia a few years ago for the fishing the state has to offer plus Lanier has been on my bucket list for over 30 years when I watch Hank Parker outdoors fish there. I really enjoy learning from your seminars, podcast and videos. Thank you Buddy.
We appreciate you checking out his podcast. Jimbo is an amazing guy! If there is anything Fish North Georgia can do for you let us know. Let us know if you have any topics or other guests you'd like us to cover here too. Also thank you for your service!
@@FishNorthGeorgia Thanks so much for your offer of kindness. I'm new to Georgia and dont know of anyone for the show. But I'd like to meet and go fishing with Jimbo. Unfortunately I don't work and couldn't possibly pay for a guided trip on Lanier. Thank you for your response.
Great information Jimbo, thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Nicely done! Keep these informational videos comin!
Thank you! We have a lot more coming.
Great interview!! Subscribed here and to the Podcast 👍
Ronnie Hkr thanks so much!!
Nice information! I’d like to hear a breakdown of The Dead Sea.... also known as Allatoona.
For largemouth specifically
Georgia Bassmasters that’s definitely in the works!
No longer the Dead Sea I hear. It’s been blowing up last year or so. That’s all hear saying though.
@@thespadgettnope it still sucks ass
Thanks for the info, topwater is definitely the best when it is on! Merry christmas to you and your family.
Jim min Merrry Christmas to you too!
Love the break down guys!!! New subscriber here👍🏼🐟
Thanks!! Glad to have you here. We've got a lot more videos in the works.
The transition I went through was crazy. At first I wasn’t catching anything on Lanier because I was so used to largemouth. Now all I fish is main Lake humps and Long tapering points. I go out looking for balls of bait fish and find some magnums mixed up there too.
I use 40# braid to a 14" leader of 17# Maxima mono.Never had an issue.
good staff !👏🏻🍻
Thanks!!
Shoot, at 45, I’m still a sponge for learning and I’ve been bass fishing all my life!
Neal Scoggins There is so much to learn. I think we could fish for 100 years and still be learning new things.
Fish North Georgia Amen to that!! I NEVER thought I’d study how to fish, but that’s what I’ve been doing the last two years since I started fishing local tournaments.
Love to fish topwater at Lanier, love a super spook and a Sammy.
Sometimes the shadow from your boat will spook your bait if you move around a lot.
One bait to go fish Lanier in early November. What would you use?
Gotta get Dillan at Oakwood bait and tackle on the show.....killer striper fishermen
David Newcomb That sounds awesome. We’ll look into it.
Back in the day we called people that fished other people's brush, scavengers..
So I guess people without above just shit out of luck. I don’t buy your rhetoric.
Many ways to fish Lake Lanier. Just one man's observations.
@@FishNorthGeorgia that isn’t what you said. You made it sound like people without a boat couldn’t catch any fish at Lake Lanier.
