You should always ask Mrs. T. to help you with opening boxes!

I would like to see an updated review of how the set is holding up...if you actually use it still.

I play theatre of the mind mostly, but I know some people that are still very happy

The clips go on the top, not the bottom. It will hold together better.

That's actually a pretty useful set. I tried getting my freinds into this channel. But unfortunately they only like to play the game rather than set it up or read the books or give it a whole bunch of thought. That's why I'm the dm of my group I guess lol

I’d rather have a small community of the right people then a big one with people who are not interested.
Thanks for sharing my channel tho

tip: scrap the audio and put music when you do fast forwards. It's fine as is, but the popping from the sped up audio was strange.

@@MrTarrasque no problem, I mean you probably knew. Hmm, now that I'm thinking about it music can make it sound kinda cheesy. Especially royalty Free stuff, and then it just gets expensive so I can understand not doing that.
Regardless, good video. Your reviews are great. Keep it up. I've been running tomb of annihilation theater of the mind as my first time dming, it can get tough. I've been adding things from kobold press books that I grabbed because of your reviews. I recently got one of those grid map things to help me, but I was looking into other map stuff like the tiles, there's that other 3rd party thing that's a book of map pieces, and then I saw this video. So many options.
Also, I don't think anyone would tell you to not have Mrs. Tarrasque in videos. She wants to be in/make videos with you. I don't even think it's possible that anyone would try and tell you not to, but if they did you should disregard that and do what you both want to do.

Logan Chiminera yeah the music thing is always hard because of copyright stuff.
And theater of the mind I find is easier as long as you don’t run exactly as the book says. Keep your descriptions open enough and keep control of them, when players wanna know something they can ask, and you can adjust your answer to the situation.
Thanks for the compliments and thanks for beïng on the channel

@@MrTarrasque I think it is easier to some extent, but for a new DM it can be complicated or maybe it's just me. I feel odd and kinda cheap trying to figure out distances and stuff especially during combat, where some physical representation would be helpful. I feel like each session I'm learning something new on how to present information better or describe things better.
My last session I thought it would be fun to have an encounter with some sea hags that have tricked another group of adventurers and are fighting them. But I wanted my players to see the sea hags lure in this other group and give them the chance to be confused or come to the rescue or just watch these other people die and run for their lives as my players are all lvl 2. (I also wanted to have the hags be damaged so my party wouldn't wipe) but, because I stupidly essentially added a bunch of NPC's rolling against each other, it took ages. Also I did mock combat rolls while I was preparing because I was worried for my friends and the hags pretty much instantly killed the other party in two rounds. but because of rolling and probability during the session, everyone is alive, the NPC party is doing very well, the players showed up earlier and the hags are almost dead and it's only been two rounds. Im going to have some scrags show up because I like them as companions of sea hags and i need to kill or atleast almost kill those dang npc adventurers. Next time I'll do all that npc combat in a pre-roll first and make a list describing it as it happens or just axe that idea completely.
I found some old d&d board games I might check out/play and also repurpose for my own stuff. Even if they are based on 4th edition it's kind of a fun change of pace and something I don't have to spend time planning if I feel like I haven't prepared enough.
