I began playing percussion at the age of 9, since then I have studied percussion under various professional instructors, played in school, and played in a group for several years. I believe that my style most closely emulates that of Mike Mangini, Mike Portnoy, and Neil Peart.

Excellent drumming, Brian!!!! One of my young pianist students, a very quiet girl, wants to learn some Slipknot (De Sade). I can totally understand someone wanting to learn this band on drums! I'm having a hard time trying to distill the essence of their music to the piano!
Thanks for such a great comment, Chris. Their music is quite involved-- they have 9 bandmembers. This song was done by their greatest drummer-- Joey Jordison. They have had some other greats, as well. Good luck with it on piano. I bet it would sound beautiful; at least, if you're the one playing it, it would.
