  • I've been wanting a Traeger for about 4 years. I finally took the plunge. There are many Pellet Smokers out there...but this one is mine. Thanks for watching and stay tuned as I start smoking. Post up comments down below. Thanks!

    Hey Real Cobra Burnout, Happy to see you got a Traeger. Wife and I love ours and use it all of the time, rain or shine. We use Oak pretty much for everything with some exception. I will say that we buy our pellets at Smart Foodservice for half the price. We love ours and we use it all of the time and have for a number of years. Looking forward to hearing from you about how you like it. We cannot say enough great things about it.

    Just bought this model last week. I had a Lil Tex Elite and a tailgater model. Very much looking forward to the new technology. Thanks for the video! Also it’s simple it’s a great one to watch first before assembly! 🙏🤘

    Nice video brother! I’m excited to put mine together this Saturday. How has your 780 pro been running? I’ve seen some nightmare reviews on the temp being out of whack and or WiFIRE connectivity issues. Hoping all is well. Take care.

    • @TheRealCobraBurnout
      @TheRealCobraBurnout  Před 4 lety +1

      Mine has run great so far! The only time the temps have swung 10 to 15 degrees up or down has been during really cold weather with winds. Mine is out on patio so no wind break. It does fine in cold no wind or slight breeze. The WiFi reliability I think will depend on your router signal. Mine dropped signal once since I've had it. But then came back online. Bad thing is if you are running a preprogrammed temperature recipe from traeger, it will lose where it's at if that happens.

    • @UnityFirearmsLLC
      @UnityFirearmsLLC Před 4 lety

      TheRealCobraBurnout awesome. Can’t wait to set mine up this Saturday morning. I am very excited as I made then upgrade to this traeger from a Weber charcoal smoker. I decided to make life easier with the traeger 780 pro electric pellet smoker 😊

    This will spoil you. I have had one for about 2 years and can not believe it took so long to pull the trigger. My big Wood smoker is like the maytag repair dude now, it just sits and watches the Trager do all the work.

    • @TheRealCobraBurnout
      @TheRealCobraBurnout  Před 5 lety

      This is good to hear! The price tag kept me from getting one sooner. My brain is on overload looking at all the things I can properly smoke and/or grill on this. Plus, I've never attempted to smoke a brisket. We have oven cooked but soooo looking forward to smoking a brisket on this!

    • @archersfriend
      @archersfriend Před 5 lety

      @@TheRealCobraBurnout The price kept me from getting one for years also. The temp on mine seems to run hot. On the brisket, I will only run on smoke for 3 hr. max or it gets too dry. Then I wrap fat side up and either finish in the house oven or leave on the pit. My model runs the fan all the time, so drying is an issue. Like everything else, you need to learn your pit.
      Still having trouble with chicken getting too dry. My next batch will get smoked for 2 hours, then wrapped. I like to put a beer in the pan when I wrap, but the wife don't like it.

    • @TheRealCobraBurnout
      @TheRealCobraBurnout  Před 5 lety

      I decided to hold on my brisket until next weekend. I'm smoking some Turkey breast, Chicken Breast and found a Traeger BBQ bean recipe for this weekend. I figure better to learn the grill first before going all out on a full brisket. Thanks for the info and your experience. Definitely an Art form to getting a good smoke but not dry out the meats.

      So true! I've been amazed at some of the recipes I'm finding. We did a "BBQ" bean recipe the other day. Turned out amazing. I didn't think I'd use it for simple things like Hamburgers, but I fired it up today for just that. Juiciest burgers I've ever cooked on an outdoor "grill". I'm definitely trying some pizza in the near future. Thanks for commenting!

      Very cool and thanks. So far I'm really loving this Traeger. The only problem I have had is with 5he app on my phone. Sometimes it won't load the current status of the grill. So I've had to close the app and reopen. Could be my old phone Samsung galaxy s7 edge...but who knows. Grill keeps going. Jyst my app
