Led Zeppelin - Immigrant Song (Live 1972) (Official Video)
Vložit
- čas přidán 25. 10. 2009
- Official video for 'Immigrant Song' by Led Zeppelin. This version of Immigrant Song serves as a wonderfully evocative bridge between the early, understated Zeppelin of the Albert Hall era and the full-blown grandeur their performances would assume throughout the rest of the seventies.
The visuals and the soundtrack of this live performance of are a digitized 'mash' of two separate performances: the film footage taken from the band's performance at the Sydney Showground in Australiam in February 1972; the music from a Long Beach Arena show, in Los Angeles, in the summer of 1972.
"The fourth album had just come out and we were on a roll. Even though the visuals and soundtrack are from different performances, the energy that comes across is palpable." - John Paul Jones

Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world. - Hudba

+Spog Zallagi not really... don't really know why a lot of people say this was the beginning of metal... it's just pure blues... it's pretty much the beginning of everything in modern music
+fidan2fast you both make a valid point
Of all the bluesy songs Zeppelin made, this has to be the least bluesy. This is just plain old Rock, but ask any Metal musician, they'd probably say this song was a major influence. Plus, most modern genres trace their roots to the Blues, so I'd say Blues influences are a given.

Every Led Zeppelin song is a journey for the soul, brilliant 👏
Exactly my thoughts. I enjoyed in younger days and in the moment then... over years my appreciation for Zeppelin as the best band ever rock and ballad and this bluesy- knock the ball.ouut park ' and each artist individually has grown with older and newer music they produce. That keeps blossoming for me and is classic. Enduring. Decades and still fresh enjoyment. Generations born after the 60s and 70s are still blown away with the works of Led Zeppelin- setting a bar not with intent but as gifted men making music and doing what they are passionate about. Each member tslented and fortunately they formed a special element and shared fruits of that. People will use phrase "defining an era". Led Zeppelin- did that and continue to do that. It is akin to Masters such as Mozart or Chopin - and we are blessed to be living in the moment of this. In concert Wow... amplify the energy. It's an experience not just a performance or a song we listen to. To do that and be one who understands their craft so well and remain humble factors in beautifully as well.
Virtually every “Led Zeppelin song” was not a Led Zeppelin song. It was someone else’s and then Zeppelin covered it but didn’t give credit to the original bluesmen like Willie Dixon, Howling Wolf & Muddy Waters.

+Tyler Griffin still doesn't mean you wouldn't want to see him and Neil Perth go head to head on a drum battle
+Aj Dominguez Please Al, as a man of 59 who has seem Bonham, Mr. Watts, Moon, please know that Neil spells his name as Peart. As A percussionist, you have offended my Gods, may they mercy on your soul, Rock On!
This is one of the only live versions that I can find on here. I am not disappointed, though.
This song made me fall in love with Zeppelins music aged 13
Facts
There are only three actual musicians creating this wall of awesome power. Talk about the hammer of the gods!!
I counted one, but he seemed to be playing with hammers.
Page, Jones, Bonham are playing instruments. Plant is their singer. Get it?
A singer is a musician though, you could define someones voice as an instrument if you wanted to.
Who's here because they actually love Led Zeppelin?

Non so mai cosa dire di fronte ad uno spettacolo dei Led Zeppelin...tutte le parole mi muoiono in gola....tanta grandezza mi commuove, onore a loro
This version just hits you right in the stomach. Total banger. Absolutely love it. And Jimmys solo is epic.
Bonzo is an absolute beast, and in my eyes, the world’s greatest ever drummer!
This is subjective, one of the best rock drummers ever for sure but each music style has its load of legendary drummers and many of them were as musical and much better technician than John Bonham. I love his playing, Jimmy Page is my favourite musician and Zeppelin is my personal favourite band as well but I will never say that Page is the best guitarist ever it doesn't make sense.
Bonzo and Ginger Baker
No forget
@@thomassankara5627 it makes sense if it's what you feel. Lots of fancy technical competency out there people call genius, but how hard is to get really good at something, anything, if you throw yourself into it. Many Many people can do that if they choose to be driven by money and fame, such is the sad state of the music industry today. But there are very few that can channel or express true genius through music for music only. Page, Lennon, Morrison, Bowie...the list is very short, and sadly a long time ago.
I always say Page is the best guitarist ever down the pub because I know it to be true.
@@AleisterCrowley. It's true for you only, many could be as true as you are saying Hendrix is the best ever. It's just a matter of taste. Art isn't sports.
2021, let's see how tomany people are listening to this masterpiece of the Led Zeppelin
I grew up on this amazing talent! I am so sad of what "rock" has become...not that I'm sad our hot rock'n roll like Van Halen is currently the "oldies", but kids today will never know the gift of TRUE Rock, it makes me sad and honored at the same time...

Just stop with the "who's watching now?"
Comments. They're just annoying.
Yup. 6-17-21 right here!
Was für eine Energie. Unglaublich.
Led Zeppelin trully are 'The' Rock Band.
Led Zeppelin is and will always be the best band in history. ❤
This is no knock on Led Zeppelin...but haven't you head of The Beatles?
@@stephenstone8480 The Beatles in my opinion wrent an all round band. They, especially in their later career, made better albums. But live, they barely performed live and they weren't as incredible as Led Zeppelin live. Tge only band in history I woukd compare to Led Zeppelin live is Queen and they still weren't as good. Zeppelin were probably the best all round band. In their sound, members, ability to play instruments, and more
@@stephenstone8480 👍🥰
i rate Pink Flyod above Led Zep. And Queen top Pink.
But they r all only flanking The Beatles...
Led Zeppelin лучшие из лучших!❤❤❤ Люблю, обожаю их оригинальное исполнение! Мощно! Звучно! Красиво!❤❤❤ Эээххххх... Была бы я на их концерте, оторвалась бы по полной!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Two of my high-school teachers were at this concert. I know you don't care, but I care, because they told me all about the show, which was simply visceral and incendiary. Best concert they've ever seen, both of them told me that. That night, there was a palpable celebratory buzz all across the city of Sydney, as the audience returned to their every day lives......
Great teachers! Very lucky to be there and to become history!!
❤❤❤❤
Powerful Led Zeppelin , super song , energy phenomenal!!👏👏😍😍
I was there in 1972 in Amsterdam!!!
Song of the year.
