Student Spotlight: Amaya Rodriguez-Agiss ’24

Meet Amaya Rodriguez-Agiss, a USD biology major known for her vibrant smile and unwavering campus involvement. Despite initial challenges as a commuter student and woman of color at a predominantly white institution, she found her sense of belonging in organizations like M.E.Ch.A. and A.Ch.A., which promote cultural awareness and community. Amaya is a dedicated event organizer, volunteer and leader and will co-chair both organizations this fall semester. Her advice to fellow students? Explore various clubs and communities until you find your home away from home.
