I really think people thought High Tension was too dark because they left Dolby Vision mode on on their 4k players. This disc is HDR only. I mistakenly left dolby vision on and it made the movie way too dark. When I turned it off, the movie was nice and bright. With the Sony players, you have to manually turn off Dolby Vision mode people.
It never occurred to me to turn off DV for regular HDR titles. 🤯 Gonna have to try this
CONAN the Barbarian and Destroyer from Arrow video, Aliens, Invaision of the body snathers and Carrie chunky boxes from Arrow vid.... Major League and the Crow which is coming out May seventh.....

I was fortunate enough to find somebody on eBay who was selling the Starman 4K for about $20 more then the price of a regular 4K movie (it included the TV series)
Hey Ken,coming early July is Point Break, 4k/steelbook with Dolby Atmos, which your Best Buy 4k/steelbook only had 5.1

I only had two of those 4K releases. But I’m so glad you chose Conan as your number 1! Just like kindergarten cop is your favorite Arnold movie. Conan is mine, I was wayyy to young to watch the first one when I my dad let me watch it but it is one of my all time favorite movies I ended up getting both individual ones and Cronicles as well because I love them that much.
You just can’t beat those Conan 4Ks. Arrow did a magnificent job on those.
Southern comfort has been one of my favorite films since it's first run on HBO. In early nineteen eighty two I have not gotten the 4k but I do have the shout edition blue ray. Classic film Classic cast. They don't make them like they used to
You convinced me to watch starman tonight, have not had the time yet. Southern comfort is a great movie. Seems i have to look out for a copy of possessor

Conan aside, the first quarter was pretty slow (as it typically is). The next few months look to be stacked (and expensive), with The Crow, Once Upon a Time in the West, Blue Velvet, Bound, Chinatown, Taxi Driver (steelbook), La femme Nikita, Le Samourai, Farewell My Concubine, Risky Business, Dune 2...

So far I’ve only bought Exorcist on 4k this year but im anticipating the release of Dune 2!
You also have 4K Steelbooks to for the best of the year so far for 2024.
Starman is a good movie. I wasn’t really into getting it on 4k, BUT you review of it sounds amazing. I just watched it on HBO so much as a kid, I was like, I’ve seen it man. I’ll probably get it if I can.
Dude! It’s a mind blowing transfer. Made me enjoy the film even more.
Don't really care for 4k I sure the picture quality is amazing. There just more expensive but the main thing is that the player is crazy expensive. I just go with bluray or dvd.
If you have a ps5 it works as a 4K player too! That way it’s not so bad because you can use it for more then one thing. Don’t know if the ps4 is also a 4kuhd player but if it is it’s also much more affordable if you get it second hand

The only 4K I've gotten this year is Trainspotting. The packaging was one of the worst packages ever but the movie looked great.
I will be getting The Crow in a couple weeks when it comes out, I've already watched it in 4K digitally and it looks great.
Why is it a did-book when it is paper?

I can't even listen to your review of star man. I am so burned over the fact that Colombia only made it available through that set. It's bad enough. Stripes isn't available separately now This film which has been one of my favorites for 40 years. Hopefully gets their head out of their proverbial Rear ends and releases them separately

I think he’s doing 2024 releases. Super Mario Bros came out in June 2023, but it’s a great release!

@@saint6563 There was nothing wrong with the True LIes 4K. My wife and I thought it looked great on our tv. Anyone that says it looks bad is lying.
True lies on 4K is still the best it’s ever looked. Yea it has issues but nowhere near as bad as some people make out. Aliens was stunning !

In my opinion.
High Tension is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Ridiculous ending.
