      All domestic dogs descend from wolves and if mankind wanted to we could start the process all over again with today's wolves. Dogs/Wolves are just the coolest creatures in terms of how they relate to mankind.

      @Marissa Lopes Incorrect, ''The dog, Canis familiaris, is a direct descendent of the gray wolf, Canis lupus: In other words, dogs as we know them are domesticated wolves.
      All modern dogs are descendants of wolves, though this domestication may have happened twice, producing groups of dogs descended from two unique common ancestors.''

    • @zizzy1262
      @zizzy1262 Pƙed 4 lety +7

      @@AtarahDerek Actually! It depends on the anxiety level of the dog. I have an Austrailian cattle dog with nervous/anxiety issues. She strongly feels she has to be extremely submissive, even when she is not comfortable with a person touching her. She sometimes freaks out because she has exposed herself to (in her mind) a potential enemy and will suddenly make a warning biting motion and run away from the person. She does this quite often and repetitively to some house guests. She's not a bad dog. She's never actually bitten anyone, or even the dogs she has started fights with (her instinct is to nip, not bite); she just has anxiety.

    Gaining the trust and affection of a wolf is is one of the most satisfying accomplishments of my life. Driving 200 mph, 1/2 mile freefall skydiving and all the other "Bucket list" stuff pales compared to a wolf curling up in your lap and falling asleep.

      They're semi wild wolves. Don't try this with any old wolf.

    He sounds and acts just like our wolf. I miss him so much. We raised him from 8 weeks old. 97% wolf with only 3% dog going back 30 years on his grandma's side. Half Mexican and Arctic. The single most GENTLE loving animal EVER. He is definitely not an alpha! lol. We call him the Scooby Doo of wolves. We had to move out of the state very suddenly after my mom died and could not bring him here legally so he remains with other family in the mountains of Southern California but we miss him every single day.
