Devil Dog, Put that SM 420 4 spd in it and be done with it. You loose a auto trans on the trail, you are dead in the water, you loose a clutch with the 4 spd, you can shift a standard with no clutch. I shift mine without the clutch all the time. And it is so low geared, you don’t need to touch the clutch when you start the engine. I hit the start switch on the trail and don’t touch the clutch, it takes off at a idle and I go creeping and crawling again.
Sorry to hear about your transmission. I didn’t put an automatic in mine but I did price them thousand dollars. Hope it doesn’t cost that much to rebuild yours.
Another great video. Do you still have this carb on your jeep? Or you replaced it. And if you did replace it why. I have the same engine in my m38 Cj3a. I am following your instructions. I am in OC cali .
yes - on Baboy, I still have a carb on it. the F2100 carb runs excellent. I prefer it over the rochester. I am planning on swapping it for a sniper efi soon. I'll post it.

on that jeep - i’m using a custom built radiator from a radiator shop.. but in my other one i’m using an ebay aluminum radiator. just had to re-arrange the hose bibs to align with the motor water in/out… u can cut them off and reweld them in the spot you want. or take it to a radiator shop they can do it. prob cost $100 bucks.

Buddy your distributor looks about 60 degrees to far clockwise, compared to others I’ve seen. I went with the electronic conversion
