- Himekawa had a sad history in digimon adventure tri. Do you believe in her death? I think she will return in Digimon adventure new project. How do you think about? Please write your opinion ...

It's amazing. The Digital World needs human children who can create strong bonds with Digimon in order to protect their world, but almost every major villain in the series is a former Digidestined. These strong bonds that they create with their partners inevitably lead to severe depression and anger at their partners loss. It's almost like Mahou Shoujo Madoka with the magical girls eventually becoming the witches they fight. While the Digital World sought to relieve their world of evil Digimon, they were inadvertently making their issues worse by creating even more powerful enemies in the form of wayward Digidestined.
Maki lost Tapirmon and tried to reset the world at everyone's expense. Menoa lost Morphomon and tried to "help" other Digidestined from the same fate. Wallace lost Cocomon and created a new evil Digimon. Ken lost his brother and decided to become the Digimon Emperor. Jeri lost Leomon and allowed herself to be possessed. Oikawa helped the evil Digimon in hopes of meeting his partner is the Digital World. There are probably more instances here, but these are just off the top of my head.
Every major Adventure villain aside from 01 has been a former Digidestined, including Oikawa, who was the original model for sympathetic, digiworld-obsessed/former Digidestined antagonists who are unable to move on. And yes, I think both he and Hiroki were Digidestined, they just lacked the means to physically enter the Digital World at the time due to technological limitations, but they communicated with their partner Digimon through the TV (born too soon, as Oikawa himself said.)
So, yeah..... there’s definitely a pattern of tragic former Digidestined antagonists now, I’m guessing because Oikawa has basically become iconic at this point (enough so that his butterflies get a shoutout in the heroes of the past montage from X-Ros, when Ken and Yamato appear.) So they’ve based a lot of villains after him, with Menoa being the most on-the-nose example, right down to both sharing the butterfly motif (I kinda ship them lol.)
It is both a blessing and a curse to be a Digidestined, it seems.
That's actually majority of them unless you want to count jenhai somehow but you're spot on to my knowledge

Wallace never lost Cocomoon, he just wanted a third and created it on the computer. Then he was infected with that mysterious virus that gave birth to Diaboromon. Maki was much worse off. She had lost her Digimon forever.
But yes! In order to get Tapirmon back, she was willing to bring the worlds to ruin. I hope they will revise her and that she can come back with Tapirmon and
finally get out of the dark sea.
@@Paarzival9877 I thought Wallace lost Cocomon to a virus before he created Diaboromon? Which is why I assumed he made him as an experiment. Did he lose Cocomon after that then?
Yeah, that close fadeaway between Maki dying alone in the ocean 09:19 and a happy picture of her and Bakumon makes me depressed.
King Drasil sunk to a new low I never thought possible by exploiting this woman's grief.
You guys do realize that she has been captured by the creatures of the dark ocean and used as a mating partner for the Scubamon. Those Scubamon originally wanted to mate with Kari and have powerful offspring to take down the current ruler but Kari escaped.

And Maki does have some parallels with Hikari. So, lol. RIP Maki.
Though it is worth mentioning that Ken also went there, and unless Scubamon like to mate with men, it is possible to go there without them “calling.” In Ken’s case, he was directly able to open a portal due to his dark thoughts and depression over Osamu’s death, and Maki’s in going insane over Tapirmon’s rejection of her, after so many years of engineering that reunion...
Hikari was a special case because she is the bearer of Light, and she basically had to be lured to that dimension (though it is implied she has depressive tendencies, as we see in 01, 02, and Tri.) Yet, though she can see it, Hikari cannot access it at will like Ken can, or like Maki subconsciously did in opening up a portal herself to literally drown in her sorrows. Hikari was lured there thinking she needed to “help” the Scubamon, and that they were being oppressed (sounds familiar lol), when really it was just a trick to break free from their well-deserved constraints and perpetually impregnate her.
So, it is possible Maki is there, but she is not being held as a mating hostage by the Scubamon, but simply drowned in the dark ocean and died. Oooor she could be their baby factory at last. Who knows?

Me dolió por qué no era mala si no que nunca supero la perdiera de su Digimon y eso la quebró mentalmente solo hizo que tuviera enojó y ira pero no era mala .todo por culpa de omonstasis si alguien me de cuerda el nombre se lo agradezco.ya que solo hizo evolucionar a 4 Digimon y no a los 5. Esto nos pasa cuando no dejamos soltar slgo o a alguien también nos puede llevar a ese punto de quiebre.me da tristeza como termino
Without being cringey I wish we got answers even if horrible about maki fate in the dark ocean. A LOT of dark forced baby maker ideas/death. Love how digimon left it to our imagination despite the evidence leaning to "not great" for maki or Kari if captured again

I think she's been captured by Dragomon, I think he wanted Kari in the original Japanese version and both have been possessed by Homeostasis so he might have gotten what he wanted.

Yes, it's true! Maki was like Kari in the beginning. But after losing Tappirmon, he was no longer the same.
But ... are you saying that Maki could become Dragomon's bride? How was Kari supposed to become?
I would say that in this case it could become something dangerous. VERY DANGEROUS!!
Maki may return as something thirsty for revenge.
I hope they get it reviewed, we don't even know about the other three previous digits.

She could possibly still be alive and stuck in Digital World. Its a shame we will never know if she reunited with Bakumon or if she's with other previous Digidestined in the time capsule then later recovered at the hospital in the last film
She's stuck in the Dark Ocean world, no doubt about it. I bet we'll see her again in the next Digimon Project as one of the antagonist.

The Dark Ocean, Dagomon y Daemon (He is there) is business of 02 Digidestined...Maybe Daisuke and the real Gennai will rescue Maki in Futures Arcs...

Agree with Terzech. Howd she end up in the Dark Ocean with weapons in the first place? She killed Bakumon.
if you ask me, I was disappointed that they didn't make her character a full-out deconstruction of the Can't Catch up and Protagonist Power-Up Privilege tropes that have appeared in EVERY Digimon series. to me, the root of her angst from Bakumon's/Tapirmon's sacrifice wasn't just the sacrifice itself, but that it made her feel like she wasn't a real Digidestined/Chosen Child and was just strung along for the ride since instead of all five Digimon partners reaching Mega and defeating the Dark Masters plus Apocalymon in an epic 5 vs 5 battle, Bakumon/Tapirmon was sacrificed just to power up the other four chosen Digimon to their Mega Forms; the Holy Beasts/Digimon Sovereigns. in her eyes, she felt that HER partner should've digivolved to Mega as well, especially since we know that there are actually FIVE sovereigns (with Huanglongmon representing the center of the world). and it doesn't help that she was the only girl on the original DigiDestined team, which may have made her theorize and assume that the digital world was sexist (keep in mind, just cause she THINKS this might be the case, doesn't mean it's true), this inferiority complex is only exacerbated when she observed and studied Tai's and Davis' groups, discovering not only that they got their OWN Mega Digimon WITHOUT sacrificing another's partner, but that none of the other DigiDestined barring the leaders and lone wolfs ever reached mega form, not even the girls, which again, Himekawa perceives as evidence to her glass ceiling/sexism theory.
but after seeing Joe and Mimi's partners become Vikemon and Rosemon, Himekawa's theory was debunked and this motivated her to continue her plan cause now she KNOWS that NOTHING is really stopping ANY and ALL Digidestined's partners from reaching Mega.
I actually wanted Himekawa's whole plan and endgame to be to not only revive Bakumon/Tapirmon but then also try to get him to digivolve to Huanglongmon so that she could double-cross Yggdrasil and "save the worlds" from him, and for her to become a "TRUE" DigiDestined, regardless of the cost to others.
in laymans terms, I was expecting Himekawa to be an example of what happens when someone throws a temper tantrum when their partner is denied a mega digivolution and is left in the dust by their fellow Digidestined/Tamers, usually the goggle boys and Lone wolfs. (looking at you, Frontier)
Well, a coin toss would have been up in the air as to what Megadramon would have evolved into when the Dark Masters appeared... it would have been Wargreymon or a Demon Lord digimon... According to the wiki.

Truly one of the most dramatic things about Adventure Tri.
Who knows if she and Tapirmon will eventually find each other and she will be able to come out of the dark sea?
I find Daigo irritating. He did not understand that Maki was no longer the same as before. If he kept insisting on making her smile like that, it wouldn't help. Or maybe it was that he didn't want to accept that the Maki he knew was gone? She didn't want help. I wonder if Maki had been thwarted by Daigo would she not have hesitated to shoot him?
She don't deresve mercy, and she don't deserve to be remembered by Tapirmon because she the girl that Tapirmon loved is dead from long time. And the currently women is just a mad that cannot leave the past behind and move on
It's impossible!! Looking ahead? As if nothing happened??? You make it easy! All the others remained with their digimon, but Maki lost it forever. As also said in Last Evolution: Losing your digimon forever is like a part of you being killed! The price of such thing cost Maki reason. She just wanted her digimon back. But madness pushes her to the limit. And Daigo and the others of the old group never understood it.
