  • Strong tornadoes caused major damage in western Germany. The cities of Lippstadt and Paderborn were particularly affected. Supercells with golf ball to tennis ball-sized hail also formed in southwestern Germany. Meanwhile, new temperature records of up to 42° C were measured from Spain via France to southern Germany. Footage by Marco Kaschuba & WetterMelder Deutschland.

@@StudleyDuderight brick buildings or standard houses especially in German towns like this are not any more reinforced than standard houses you see in towns in tornado alley in the States, the ef3 that recently hit andover kansas almost completely destroyed houses and did far more damage than this tornado, a couple of roofs were taken off yes but an ef4 would've caused far greater damage than this, watch pecos hanks video explaining the damage caused by different rated tornadoes and you'll understand how devastating an ef 4 is, ef4s are also basically non existent in Germany with it only having had a couple in hundreds of years, Germany barely gets 1 - 3 ef2s - ef3s a year.

Global warming has had little to no effect on tornadoes and actually recent years have seen less than 1k tornadoes touch down in the States in a year which is below average, America usually has 1100 - 1200 confirmed tornadoes a year and actually the early 2010s were worse for strong and deadly tornadoes compared to recent years, tornadoes have been around since before humans even existed and are barely effected by global warming.
