I wish somewhere on CZcams will be a before and after video of LaGuardia. I don't remember what the old check in area looked like. I keep mixing it up in my memory of JFK. But I remember I hated baggage claim the most. They don't have flights listed with the carousel number and oddly enough I always figured it out cuz of the timing but still, they were the only airport that did not list it. I'm not impressed yet. It looks nice but to say it is now best is just telling me they've never seen the best. The best is singapore btw. The videos of LGA just reminds me of other airports. It don't look too different from JFK or Raleigh-Durham etc. I've been to A LOT of airports. Since they've hyped this up so much I expected more. Can't wait till they finish the monorail. LGA desperately needs it. Screw the stupid bus to 74th Roosevelt or Woodside.
You're absolutely right! I have older flight reviews that captured some parts of the old LGA and, now, it is beginning to catch up to the rest of the world. Like you said, it still pales in comparison to Changi, Incheon, Dubai, etc. Americans who don't get to travel abroad to those great airports will never understand the torture of US facilities.
