  • The life of Tom Morris is brilliantly portrayed by David Joy in this drama documentary, set it the home of golf, St Andrews in Scotland. The photography and direction by Julian Gibsone captures the mood of the period. The evocative music score by Bernie Precious and Jim Watson adds a mystical ambience. Vocals by Karen Edward.

G'day from Tasmania , Australia .. THIS IS WONDERFUL ..I play and am a member of our par 67 (9 greens/18 tees) 5000 metres or about 5300 yards rural golf course costing $75 a year membership . It was built by locals in the 1930's that we look after voluntarily thanks to 'keepers of the greens' by passionate folk who love the game and the club itself .. To watch this amazing documentary is sheer joy ..Thank you .. By the way in our little island State we have the oldest golf course outside of Scotland still in existence ..It's called Ratho Farm at Highland Lakes Road in Bothwell , Tasmania and was first laid out in 1822 so it's 200 years old this year . Established by Alexander Reid who was a Scottish immigrant .. Just think , it had seen 38 years of golf activity before the first Open Championship was played in 1860 ..Thanks again for a joyful video featuring this documentary ..Cheers

What a nice watch! Thank you for sharing this. I grew up playing golf in New Zealand, but gave it up in late teens, too busy with rugby. Fast forward time, my youngest son has just started, natural swing from the first time he held a club. Here I am back on this golf journey. I can't wait to visit Scotland and experience golf at its home.

Had young Tom Morris not died, imagine how many more Opens he would have won. I'd say he would have set the major record
