This was the beginning of Yuja's "shuffle recitals" changing the order of pieces depending to the mood of the artist. A fantastic "new" idea (Friedrich Gulda did this, too ...and Franz Liszt!)
A collegue of mine- a professional horn player once said: "It doesn't matter what pieces are played, it only matters WHO plays."
Or with the words of Franz Liszt, the creator of the solo recital: "Le concert c'est moi."
In this recital I specially love the Galuppi...an example of Yuja's unpretentious, beautiful and heartmelting playing...and the fabulous Bach!!!
Of course the Ravel and Scriabin are incomparable, too....
She is the best in the world. Totally committed to her art and profession.
Yuja plays more and more interesting, creative and unpredictable.

I wonder if any of the other recitals she gave around North America during early 2020 before the pandemic were recorded. I would surely like to here the Carnegie Hall recital where my friend said she was on top form.
I would really like to hear her play more of Bach.

Pourquoi ne joue-t-elle pas plus souvent du Bach ? Elle ne peut pas ne pas l'aimer, entendu l'interprétation qu'elle en donne ici...
Can anyone tell me if Yuja ever recorded Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata? I would very much like to hear her interpretation of this classic if it is available.
No she hasnt. Dont know that she ever played it live either. If she did it must hace been very early in her career.
She's so good. The final piece is awful but not her fault
