- This is how to play Pitch, a bidding trick taking card game for 4 players. Pitch is by far my favorite trick taking card game. There are many different ways to play, but Four Point is the best place to start. For more classic card games, check out this playlist: here: • The Card Game List

Needed this refresher. Going on a camping trip and we usually do a 6 man pitch game. Haven’t played in roughly 12 years. Can’t wait.
What cards 😍 I'm in love with them
They are pretty cool! Bicycle Emotions playing cards.
I tried 9 point pitch practice on Trixter. Versus robot. It is a good game. I did as a guest until I learn more. The 5 makes it very interesting , if you have it guarded well you can bid 5.
I am glad you like it! I enjoy 9 point as well :D
Have you checked out Pedro card game. Very similar to pitch. Deal 9 cards. Points are Ace,Deuce (just for holding),ten, jack, then both same colored fives 5 points each. Total of 14 points. Throw away all cards but trump and replenish to 6 cards. Minimum bid 6, dealer robs pack and takes all remaining trump. High bidder leads, can lead any card. If trump lead have to follow, off suit follow or trump. Whoever plays deuce gets that point even if trick not win. Play to 52
Pedro is on the to-do list :)
We play that the dealer can "take" the bid.
I usually play with that rule as well. =^)
what to play pitch
On 9 point pitch I have one question. Say the opponents have 28 points and bid 5. If you have the 5 in your hand, I would not do,but what I if I threw the 5 away. They are set automatically. Or is throwing away trump illegal. Or is it the makers risk
Players are usually required to keep trump cards in their hand during the exchange. However, I have seen rules where people are allowed to throw away trump as well. Personally, I like keeping trump in hand better. :)
