I wish these kinds of concerts were performed nowadays. It would be a fantastic way to introduce young people to these styles of music and the cultural history they represent. I love listening to Maestro Bernstein's anecdotes about them. :o)
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE STEREO SOUND? I have an audio tape recording of this exact same program recorded from WCBS-FM NYC. They simulcast the program on WCBS-TV Channel 2. Stereo audio was available and the network video tape recorders of that time were capable of recording stereo audio even though there was no stereo broadcasting on TV yet.
