This Dolphin is way bigger than it's shown in commercial ads😂 I love it.
BYD regeneration is when u pressed on brake, regen is highest!
Unless one press hard on brake regen max will turn into real braking stopping car otherwise using brake pedal gives max regen not braking, this does stop u using momentum though to travel further
If you lift off power pedal, regen isn't max, this actually is good as car uses momentum to travel further, giving it extra km then battery can give!
One pedal driving, & max regen thus limit the potential of a car to drive further using momentum, overall limit the distance an EV travels.
One pedal driving EV will have a shorter distance of travel vs an EV allowing momentum travel (running traveling not using battery power)
While BYD approach gives the best of both world with further travel possible given limited battery range via car momentum
If one can use this feature, one can travel lot further then the BYD spec
True , using momentum is another way of saving energy , even better than regen which has more efficient lost.
@@AZ-hj8ym Agree.
Regen is good to store when slowing down is needed but momentum is energy that's original, if used nicely in driving saves energy of battery or petroleum.
It's some twicking to see which setting of off the power pedal be good
Brake regen depending on the amount of pressure, max when almost stopping pressure is applied, is good idea as
near hard breaking means driver want to stopping or quick slowing is needed, lets place some of those momentum energy back into battery
@@MrAbletospeak can you say that in Eaglish!?
Thanks for the first impressions. Yes please, make another video with car in Ireland. I hope the price for Ireland will match the price in Spain.
That's not the case actually Ralf. We gave the price that was on the press release issued for Ireland by the PR company in Ireland. I just double-checked it. They've since dropped by another €900, which was given to us in an updated press release a few days ago. Delighted that you enjoyed the video...and yes we'll have another full video for you as soon as we can! Thanks for the comment, appreciate you taking the time!
Performance is definitely where it needs to be. I've had mine timed at 6.4 to 60 in cold 5.4deg roads. It feels a lot faster than my previous 3 EVs and more fun. I've covered 6k miles in mine and had plenty of sprints off the lights. Maybe you had it stuck in ECO mode?..…..
We definitely didn't have it in Eco Mode. What actually happened is that they limited the cars and never told any of the journalists. Lots of people with the same complaints about power...and we all only found out weeks later! Thanks for the comment!
The price you gave is Spanish price, we won’t have the same prices in Ireland
That's not the case actually. We gave the price that was on the press release for Ireland by the Irish PR company. They've actually since dropped the price by a further €900 according to an additional press release we got a few days ago. Thanks for keeping us on our toes though!
Best is it's fire proof the blade battery
I’ve heard of it before it came to Ireland 🤓
200 miles of reliable range is going to be an expectation from all new EVs in 2024 after this.
Dolphin fin aerial not shark fin 😂
Ha! Best comment of the year!
It's £13,600 pound in china yet £26,000 in the UK ? Bargain ev I think not.
Import prices and more can’t be that expensive
UK has 10% import tax and 20% VAT.
So it should only be about 18000 then.
