Flaming arrows I think outrange falcs, cav archer for japan super op against artillery should use them to take out artillery. Japan is scales super nice
On some maps it is very good to go mountain warrior 1st card. You get insane recourse value for age 1 (xp too) and the buff is very valuable in age 2 fights.
France user would had ridden Japanese civil with 3 cav during age 2. He had 2nd chance because Japanese user still had not a daimyo in age 3. He would be won If he made more than 2 canons and more skamis + muskets instead of 10 cuirassiers (food+gold : 300 X 10 = 3,000!!!). It was totally suicide attack because cuirassier is so much expensive in age 3. I know well because I've been subjected to a lot of samurai rush...
I am confused Why no water deck with boat shipment when the map has water? Isn't it better to gather food with vils and set shrines to wood or does that hold true after you get the age 4 shrine gather rate buff? This map is Florida or am I crazy?
The map is not Florida, you can see at the start of the video. I agree, I should have 3 fishing boats in my deck at least, I can optimize my decks more for Japan, I just haven't played them much recently. Sometimes I like to set shrines to food, that lengthens the time you have your cherry orchards and delays the need to send 2 cherry orchard shipment.
@@SoldieRaoeFlorida looks the same except you also start with a market right I agree with the comment about producing extra food and delaying the need for grove shipments or paddies.

Yes, I have seen that useful where it can be more valuable than 2 vils, need to make more decks :P
First time seeing someone do old meta with toshugu in a while....you think this is better or was that a MU specific choice
I think it's a good map with cows and lots of hunts and I think overall it's still strong, we'll have to see as I play more Japanese
