    A very interesting format indeed. As someone who is looking to get more into photography I like that you go through the photos and explain your thoughts, what caught your attention and what could be behind the shot. Thanks for the great video!

    Thanks for standing by the old reliable gx80! I have thought many times about buying a new camera, by it's really hard to justify given all this camera can do for the money. I've been following you for a few years and it's been so cool to see you grow. I enjoy listening to you speak about how your photos make YOU feel. As a photographer you can't always take super exciting pictures and a good part of the fun is simply in the shooting of them, even if we feel others wouldn't look twice at them. In other words, you do a great job expressing what I'm sure most of us do internally when we go out to take photos for the love of the act itself.

    Great video as always Teo! I loved the added B-Roll before you went into the POV footage! Really adds to the production quality! I absolutely love the photos at 7:35 and 15:26 the one with the two lights on is more pleasing to me rather than the darker image because of the light coming through the door on the left of the frame. Very pleasing when paired with the other light sources :)

    The photo with the red gates was really interesting to me. I agree, I can stare at it for a long while. I think it's the single lighted window on the top floor that seems to be oddly dim, makes me ask what is going on in there...almost an eerie sort of feel. It's the storytelling in that one that makes my mind wander. Another great video, Teo! Thanks for sharing!!!

I’m kina in the same situation, because i moved to Berlin, coming from a small village and now photography feels so different, because there are so many subjects and just things in general to take photos of, that it feels kinda overwhelming going out shooting now. Congrats on the move! Lovely captures, my faves are the ones of entry/door/drive ways. I love the use of framing around their artifical light sources. The photo of the building with wooden fence strikes me as a clash of old home and new society, very clever. Curious how slow of a shutter speed you went to, and if you wod make a simillar trip with a tripod....
    Cool stuff.

    • @teocrawford
      @teocrawford  Před rokem +2

      Thank you Patrick! :)
      Ohh I see, I like that perspective...
      I just checked in Lightroom - so my slowest was for the first car photograph at 09:46 which was shot with a 1/8th shutter. This is suuuper slow for handheld photographs, but the Lumix GX80 has insane IBIS, so I can push it like that. The only even slower photograph was the one in the park with the lighttrails, that was shot at 0,4 sec. :)
      And yeah, surely this would make sense with a tripod - however I was trying to be pretty lowkey that evening because I didn't know how the people there might react to an obvious photographer shooting pictures of their cars and homes.

    My top choice is 17:00, followed by 15:09. There is something magical about light glowing in the dark... Also, artificial light sources are your best friends while shooting in dark, and those can actually help you set mood in your pictures. The lamp by house gave me feeling of cozyness. And a picture with the lamp over the door gave me a feeling of suspension... Like, "what's behind that door?". Also, wanted to ask, have you figured out what caused light leaks?
