assistance here. the race was the 1967 Canadian Grand Prix (his home race) which was 90 laps long. he finished his race while being 43 laps behind the leader (Jack Brabham) thus meaning he was on lap 47 while Jack was on lap 90. you're welcome!
Yes and that's because his car broke down and he ran back into his garage from the middle of the track and took things to fix his car, and he ran back towards his car and fixed it and started racing again
@@HakarDoski yes once Senna finished 60 laps behind the leader so he is also shit. Also once Schumacher finished 58 laps behind leader so he's also slow. Once Hamilton finished 65 laps behind leader so he is shit aswell
To be fair to him, he did run back to his pitstop to go grab like a battery to continue. Might be the slowest but this dude was dedicated. He was even considered amazing because of his contributions to racing back in Canada
Al Pease is actually a legendary driver who had to deal with the worst outdated machinery you could get at the time. Look up Josh Revell's video on him.
And he used a car that literally belonged to a museum because it was too old and In this race his car broke down and he had to run back to his garage to take tools to fix his car, after he fixed it he kept racing
Honestly. Shaming him is a fcked up thing to do. First of all, my man was still a GP racer, Not everyone can make it to a GP and then, my man tried ! We cannot take it from him. He tried to win and to be fast but he couldn't, no shame in that, who are we to just throw it at his face and saying that he sucks ?! He is honestly the most courageous of all pilots for keeping his composure with all of this BS !
Stroll is out qualifying out scoring vettel in most of the GPs and still you guys say he is so bad while at the same time say vettel is one of the best! How?!
I have to stand up for AL Pease. He's actually a really good driver in Canadian touring cars. The cars he drove in the Grand Prix were slow and outdated. One of which was pulled straight out of a museum. Context matters.
Honestly I still think Ide was worse, he was like 7 seconds or something like that behind Schumacher in quali and was so slow the FIA took his super license away
I don't disagree. However, you can't compare the Super Aguri with the Ferrari. He was 3 seconds, 1.5 seconds, 4 seconds and 1.6 seconds behind Sato in his four races.
@@WestLondonWarrior fair enough, 2006 Super Aguri were definitely the worst team on the grid, arguably of all time, but 7 seconds is still a large margin, and I also didn’t remember his gap behind Sato, I just remembered it being big, but gradually declining, so thanks for the gap to Takuma
It wasnt really the guys fault, al was actually pretty well known in other racing categories if i remember correctly, the car he was driving was just horrible.
Yes because 47th lap with no other context helps me grasp how slow he was.

True. The slowest driver-car combo.

People need to learn about that specific race. Because Al wasn’t that slow at all. He just had extreme bad luck.

Agreed
Except he was clearly objectively very slow, which is what the video talks about. Not opinion, or hate, simply objective fact shown by clear data.
Same thing goes for all the hate Hamilton and Vettel get/got, except they are really good drivers
