Same here, but unfortunately if you frequent the power save function it usually cuts off right before the signal is available for most watches. I'm gonna try keeping my watches on throughout the night to see if it catches the signal better. I've noticed that if the watch is inactive from 12 AM - 4AM it won't receive the signal and won't update the time.
Bluetooth does the same as multiband 6. It updates automatically over night. You do not have to connect to the smartphone everytime to update. The difference is that you need a smartphone in the vicinity vs multiband where you need to make sure the watch is positioned correctly and you are in an area that receives(something that most of the world does not have). Also manual update of time is much faster with bt
I think G-Shock will release a black DLC version of the GMW-B5000 which will be so cool and I believe they will release a new full-metal Frogman with bluetooth next year at Basel 2019.
I have been using this w218 which costs like 4 times cheaper than any g shock in the list It does have basic time keeping and I have been to swimming tracking running with this watch and believe me nothing happened G shock is way too strong soo strong that I believe it's a over kill

the ultimate g shock should only be in resin as their predecessor like the dw5000c/dw5600c used to be made. so for me it's still the gw5000 until they updated the model with new module from gmw series. edited: i meant the ultimate for 'square' g-shock lineup only. ;)

Every G-Shock is different in their own way but they have 1 thing in common. You'll need adapters for band customisation. The latest GA-2000 is the most customisable but it is not solar-waveceptor. The closest design to a swiss-style watch is the G-Steel and MTG series. Solar waveceptor with metal construction. There is one option called GT-000D-7JF vintage model in white that came attached with its own special adapter that could fit a nato or any bracelet at 20mm if I'm not mistaken.
No need to use the Bluetooth function (Mine is always switched off). I agree about the strap. That is the downside to most G-shocks. The need for (ugly looking) adapters to wear it on a nato.
its funny seeing the old gshock channels around 2010, they all sold their collections a few years later. i would seriously curb your spending...save up for a house.
I prefer multi band 6 over bluetooth. I just love that multi band 6 updates the time for me every day and I don't have to do anything.
Some regions unfortunately are not in range of the multiband-6 stations, so Bluetooth is the closest to it.

I have a dw 5600 p (red version) comes with a bull bar from factory. Had it for 6 years now
I just picked up a GLX-5600 G-LIDE and i couldn't be happier with it. I have many mechanical watches but few are as fun as a good G-SHOCK!
