I use mod to remove build limits and build a square around the settlement with theses near the top of the build height they take out everything that spawns in the middle or outside the settlement and with a turret every 3 feet it’s instantly kills

Red rocket at Nuka? That’s my favourite place to put turrets as well. Enemies respawn there and you get a great light show….
Yeah it's quite entertaining! Speaking of light shows, I have the castle defence against BoS at night time with laser turrets that I need to edit 😁

Quick question. Do they need to be eye level with the enemy or can I have them up above them and they can aim down ?
And if they can aim down, how much down ?
I don't think it matters as long as they are within the vicinity and line of sight. Not personally tried it though.
