If you guys made a podcast that would be the only podcast I would actually listen to
Great to see Jaime getting the airtime he deserves!
Jamie, thank you for all thee meticulous knowledge you share. Thank you for doing all thee “boring stuff”. You taught me fundamentals.
It wouldn’t be a problem for me if the videos were 30min short. Can’t have to much of this knowledge if you ask me! 👍
Finally, a channel where we get non-stop, uncut Jaime tutoring on all the nitty gritty details and things to keep in mind when you're building a house! What would be even better is if you could just download everything onto a honking thumb drive and upload it into my brain so I wouldn't have to listen to all of it! But seriously PLEASE load this channel up with videos quick, cause I start building my house next summer.
Jaime you are a natural as a host man!!!!! .... absolutely a huge joy to hear you share your building knowledge and passion. Superbg channel
Would like to see a video about all the different fasteners you use in a house and why.
Yes exactly what I was thinking especially with the 15/16/18 nailers.
Great idea
I never thought I would hear Jay be so anxious about putting a brush in his hand.. GREAT JOB!
Yay! Excited that finally Jamie is getting the time he needs! Don’t stop at 15 minutes…keep going, I’m pretty sure people will stay tuned. There’s knowledge in his words. Podcast material too! Thanks Perkins Bros
Erik's edit job is getting good. This is top notch really!
Glad to see a deeper dive channel, I like the other one as well but learn more from this one.
12:18 Hey! Guys at Total boat! You watching this? Give these guys a Total Boat sponsor--ship...
Jaime is my woodworking guru , thanks for sharing your knowledge
Jamie, Eric and Crew,
Fantastic and Timely Topic‼️
Buddy and I are stripping and redecking his boat dock and investigating stain/sealer for the P Treated 5/4 deck boards. We need something that will last so when it has to be done next time; the kids and grandkids can cook in the hot, 95*, Humid, Heat and get bounced around by boat waves 🌊 as if we are on a trampoline‼️UGH‼️‼️
Blessings for Yall from Gainesville Georgia ‼️
Still gonna make it up there and bring some Jawja Nectar🔨🧰🪚
Great video and hits all the high points with a couple Pro-Tips added for good measure. Here's a new phrase for your wood-finish viewers; FOR CLEANABILITY USE MATTE NOT FLAT." It goes well with your "Matte is where it's at" idiom. You covered this on the other channel, but this goes well with this topic. Some doors are labeled "Solid Core", however they aren't all solid with the same top material. You showed a pine veneered door that had a core made of particle board or a similar product that sometimes needs a little sanding. In those cases you may need a very light coating of an oil-based finish to seal the veneer, sand it lightly then finish it with the final coats of water-based poly. Again, this is a great pro-tip from your other channel that goes well with this topic. Jamie: Great job on this video and you covered all the bases very well and didn't go overboard like I sometimes do (can you tell with these comments?).
would love a video about finding and cutting different angles like the railings you did on the last project.
“Matte is where it’s at”! Hahaha so awesome thanks for the information guys! High gloss ain’t where the party’s at, start that shop channel!!!
Im liking these new videos and the solid info you guys are getting out. Thanks!
I always wanted to know the differences of these finishes, both inside and for outdoors, their applications and etc., thanks Jamie 👍
Ray is the funniest of the crew mates ;)
Thanks for letting Jamie talk
Yaaaaaaaaaaas. Jaime rants/knowledge bombs 🙌🏽
good luck on the new channel.
great addition to the other channel
Maybe start a podcast. Where people can call in or send questions etc. then you can talk for 2-3 hour’s unrestricted. I’d watch it
I like it, but they have to build! Them being active builders is part of the secret sauce, I think.
Jamie in his natural environment.
I like the added pop up graphics! The editor (Eric) needs a raise.
And be Quite Jamie's talking.....The Master Speaks
@@jayrichards3672 Be "Quite"? What's that supposed to mean?
Awesome video! Thanks for the production!
Reiter-iter-ate. That's going in my vocabulary.
Please never let Jamie shut up, it's like a podcast, love it! You could do this kind of episods in his shop with some samples and stuff, that'd be awesome!
Agree 100% about water based and UV. If it’s in the sun, use a water based finish.
Seems like you guys made this chanel just for me. Love this stuff.
-Jake from Lake Tahoe, Nevada
you may not be sponsored by the products you mentioned, but it is helpful for you to recommend things that are tried-and-true
Matte finish for the win.

Lacquer?!? I Love Her!
Rename the channel to "Jamie's Chalkboard" , got a nice ring to it
We fallow you Jamie! Good listening ears.
Jamie, how many coats do you normally do with the Halcyon? Say on a front door that would have quite a bit of afternoon sun exposure?
10:43 Just plan a multi-part series for this channel! That would be awesome.
Rubio monocoat. One coat application
How’s Eric’s face when Jamie introduces him at the beginning haha he has the expression of someone from the hills, not someone working in them.
MOAR!
This was great!!!! thanks
Mental note: try poly on metal. Thank Jaime!
I finished my son's desk with Halcyon Clear last fall, great stuff, looks great. I first heard about it from your friend Johnny Brooke. How I found you guys too.
Oof even in the learning channel, someone says "boring"
Yeah, I thought this was the channel where Eric wasn't rude to Jamie. Sometimes, I wish Jamie would punch him in the mouth
Man that was great
Jaime's the man. Let that guy go....If youpercieve it's too long ? Make it another video
Love ❤ Love it!!!
We need more knowledge!!!
