  • The X Carve makes a ton of dust! The dust boot that came with the machine just wasn't cutting it, so I designed and built a brand new one to work seamlessly with the new integrated dust collection system. Enjoy!

I have to say - watching all of your videos on the assembly and set up of the xCarve. has sold me. I was on the fence about it before, but I'm definitely pulling the trigger now. Thank you! This will be one of the first upgrades I do as I have a 4" dust collector as well. Hoping I can figure out how to create this!

So I know you already solved this but just for knowledge. You stepped down from 4 in dust extraction to 2 in. Dust extraction does not like it when you step it down as they are designed high airflow low suction. If you had a shop vac on it. Would do much better. A shop vac can do better as it's designed for high suction low airflow. It can also handle better if you step up to a bigger house. DE can't at all. Watch Mattias wandels videos on this topic has great illustrations and numbers to back it up

You can always make multiple with different brushes if you need longer/different stiffness brustles.

That is a big upgrade my friend! In the cabinet shop I work in. We can a 5hp Dust Gorilla Pro with 9" ducting going down to the router to pick up most everything! However the CNC machine is a $125.000.00 CNC. So no offense but that router is a little bit bigger than your trim router. Lol. But it's crazy, we may run like 8x 4x8' sheets of HDF and the 55 gallon drum is also full! Anyhow I wasn't trying to brag about the shop I work in. I was just trying to say that you're making a smart choice. And your gonna like the outcome of the upgrade! Anyhow thanks for another great video my friend! Take care!

Should of attached the brush part on the outside higher up so you'd get the length of the softer bristles.. just a thought if that makes sense without a drawing 🤣

Awesome! What kind/gauge of metal pipe did you use and where did you source it?

    Would you sell the file?
I have a 4in hose too and a laser attachment that I don’t want to remove back and fourth
Haven’t found anything that attaches to the xcarve rails like stock until this
