- Today I installed a set of JRC Components "Hybrid Ceramic" derailleur pulley wheels (aka jockey wheels) on my Sram GX eagle drivetrain.... for science.

I'm really interested to see the long term quality on these parts and will post a follow up video later in the year. I am not affiliated with JRC in any way so this is purely my opinion and I will bring the truth to the people.

Jrc pulleys are great. The hybrid ceramic bearings are sealed unlike every other affordable option
Go to hear! I’ll run them for 6 months or so and then take them out and inspect them. Interested to see the results 👍
In my experience, theyre great. Make sure to knock a punch dent into each side of the pully, or press it out and locktite it. This will negate any negative effects of these pulleys (the bearing walks out)

Aluminum pulleys are ok just don't last long ,but they do add bling

Cheap bike parts are like cheap partners..... They don't tend to last long, they give you constant hassle and are just plain old cheap.

Which jockey wheel is good plastic, rubber, aluminium,or alloy ?
Hard to say. Depends on application, manufacturer, quality of materials. In general it seems for mountain bikes that plastic and aluminum are most commonly used

Haha only have a few rides on them so far. Most people who dislike them in the comments says they will fail at around 6 months so we’ll see. So far I can’t say they are any louder or better then stock pulleys but they look cool 🤷♂️
i got a few sets of some cheap ceramic pulleys that spin forever and i could tell the difference. i run 8/14 and also run 11/11

The stock pulleys are very low-quality. I had the exact same ones on my bike.

Stick with the stock - these pulleys won't last a 1/10 of the life of just stock pulleys. The friction of the bearing is so negligible, as the pulleys aren't under direct load.

I have ceramic pulley in my shimano altus m2000 those are great pulleys and its serve me well its been 1year and half since i have that pulley but isell that pulley with my altus i have a new rd now the stock pulley of my new rd is good but not giving the speed i want im ganna buy a new ceramic pulley for speed

These are good, I dont know what this guys on...!?! But for low budget upgrades, they are fine, so long as your rear derailleur is set up correct these will last way longer than those stock spindles, protect your cassette and roll with way less resistance. This dudes a hater!?! 🤷♂️
They do what they claim. Reasonable cost, decent bearings, and they look cool. They are definitely staying on my bike.

I also said they do what they claim and they look sick. The rest is just my subjective opinion other than the weight. The only actual negative thing I said was that the anodizing is wearing off. We clearly have a difference in opinion in what “trashing/hating” is lol
