As far as pure destructive power and ferocity,
Tank is the closest thing to Mike Tyson I've seen so far. He is a legend in the making. A true knock out artist .
A legend in the making....? Tank will be 27 years old in a week. To put it into perspective, he is 3-4 years younger than Canelo. He is far from a prospect anymore. Mike Tyson was a legitimate heavyweight champion at the age of 20.
On his way to undisputed, Tyson knocked guys out within 4 rounds. It took Tank until the late rounds to take out Gamboa and Barrios who are C level fighters.
Tank doesn’t have a good of a win as any of the rest of the “lightweight” kings. Teofimo has Loma. Linares-Haney. And Campbell-Garcia.
All that being said, I expect tank to look phenomenal fighting Rolly bc, you know, it freaking Rolly Romero. It’s obvious Tanks handlers don’t believe in him as he’s never been presented with a 50-50 opponent.

This is a good interview. It lets Tank really express his views on a lot of topics, rather than just setting up cheap questions and seeking an adverse reaction. A lot of maturity there, compared to the other guy. You need humility and respect all champions. If you lose, show respect... and if you beat them, also show respect. I'm a fan of Tank as a boxer, and as a mature young man now...

Man Gervante Davis is my absolute favorite people because he has grown and matured so much! The way that he humbled himself and realized that Floyd was only trying to help him! I know that Floyd really lives and respect and care for Gervante and all of his fighters and his coaches and camp and of course his amazing staff and most of all his lovely family! Gervante has been my favorite from the first day that I ever saw him fight!!!

This young man has come a long way. That performance in his last fight, making adjustments, in a fight he was clearly losing on the scorecards. Tank is special. I just hope he learned from that incident from last year, and he gets out of it, and prayers to those injured in that crash. Tank I believe can clean up the lightweight division. Sadly I’d not think we will ever see Tank-Haney, Lomo, or Garcia due to all the politics in boxing, it’s reminiscent of the WWF, WCW days.

I like what Tank said about always feeling like he’s on the come up. I think back to Broner, he could’ve been THAT guy to get close to a Floyd as far as the level he was on. Head got too big and thought he was better than Floyd.

I used to not like tank because I thought since he trained with Mayweather that he has the same mentality.. I was completely wrong.. I was looking at the cover of the book and not reading it. They’re 2 different chapters.. He so humble and would probably give you the shirt off his back but if you mess with him it’s a whole different story.. That’s what makes him so dangerous so they underestimate him. GTD is now 1 of my top 3 favorites in this era.
