You should do some videos either remaking your failed recipes to improve them, or a bracket of your favorite recipes and seeing if they still hold up now.
A rank video of all of the favorites is a fabulous idea!
@@katieborrello5805 Oh wow didn't expect this many upvotes. I'm glad David hasn't converted to the bs shorts/reels style content or doing clickbait trends. Started watching him in middle school and glad to still be watching him now. Seeing the top recipes over the years would be great.
I've also watched David since he was practically a kid and I was... ermm, younger..😅 His skill has improved so much over the years so I think retrying some fails is a great idea! Would also love some compilations of his and our favs.👍
He's been doing that on and off for years.
I want you to try more Good Mythical Morning Will It recipes. Also, I’d love to see you try your hand at some of Sortedfoods ultimate food battle recipes. I know their burrito caused a international incident.
That's such a good idea woah!!!!
Totally agree. Good call!
That was paella. Jamie is still nervous about going to Spain...
@@gappy1987 A Paella burrito in the ultimate burrito video. I would love to see David try all three recipes or two (Chef Vs Chef) from a ultimate battle and deliver his verdict.
@@gappy1987 also, would Spain get angry with David? There’s no such thing as bad press.
To fix your cutting board, just sand it down a bit. Start with a low grit to get the burns off, then get progressively higher until you have a smooth finish. Then apply a food safe finish on it. I think you could probably start at around the 100-120 grit range because the burns don’t look too bad, so probably just some surface toasting.
I was just gonna say as a person who holds onto stuff for way too long (except a glass cutting board for obvious reasons yikes) that it doesn't look too bad!
They sell oil for butcher's blocks; I think that would be serviceable as a food-safe finish
The Good Mythical Morning mashup favorites might be fun to do. One I remember specifically that they loved was mixing Asian and Italian dishes making Orange Chicken Parmesan. Of course both of the dishes as themselves were created in the US and passed off as being from other countries, but you know what I mean.
With a wooden cutting board you could probably take a sander to the burnt top and bring it down to bare wood and then oil it with food grade mineral oil, linseed oil, or beeswax.
I watch a ton of food social media, but I watch YOU to figure out which ones are worth making. I don't care where the recipes come from, just keep doing your thing and I'll watch ☺️
Hi! The chicken Parm in Argentina is a very traditional dish called milanesa a la napolitana, we eat it every week, sometimes more than one time, and is everyone favorite!
Honestly I would love to see you try more new recipes from other cultures. You could do an around the world thing where you cook a dish from every country. I know ppl did that before but I think we would enjoy you experiencing new flavors.
this please
If he sees this, I really want him to try Liberian peanut butter bbq 😭
(IS HE ALLERGIC TO PEANUT OR IS IT JUST LACTOSE??!) my dumbass completely forgot peanut-allergies are verrry common 😅
(Last edit- 😵💫) I found a recipe that doesn’t require peanut butter just in case
czcams.com/video/SmEWZICd_yo/video.html
(sorry if it’s not up to your standards but there’s only so much to work with)
You can sand the board down and re-oil to get rid of the stain. You'd be surprised how little you actually have to take off. My Scout club had our (newly painted!) woodwork in the club house when it burned down. Just a little bit of sanding and scraping and a fresh coat and it was almost good as new!
This channel has truly been the best at what they do. We wish them well.
I've been lurking on your channel since the 4th Buzzfeed Test. You haven't relied on them in a long time. I'd love to see you try some of the chaos that comes out of Mythical Kitchen They do a lot of fun mashups and recipes from history. Might be fun
He just needed something to bitch about for the first 90 seconds
How is that Chicken Parm a pizza? How is the first thing not a quesadilla?
Said the same thing
The first one is pizza as much as anything.
Yeah I didn't realize until he was finished that the chicken parm pizza was just a round chicken parm. I thought it was going to have a pizza crust under it.
Exactly same thinking
I guess the breading on the chicken parm counts enough as a starch to satisfy the crust requirement? Some of these fried chicken places definitely are making breading thick enough to count these days, anyway 😒 That birria "pizza" is unquestionably a quesadilla though
Totally random but it would be super fun to see you do some of the recipes on Pasta Grannies - it’s not just pasta and they’re Italian traditional foods that are in danger of dying out.
David you should do a top 10 of all your favorite recipes after years with your channel
i second this!!
I’ve had the Chicken Parm pizza. It’s definitely pounded thin chicken breast. It’s $80 “for 2” but could easily feed 4. Heavy but very tasty at a restaurant with really good options beyond it
I love the guilty face he makes when he loves something 😂
I ador3 you david but if you don't make a Brazilian recipe until the end of the year I will only watch your videos 1 week later. I BEEN ASKING FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS been following you for 4 or 5 years so please try some Brazilian recipes/dishes like carrot cake with brigadeiro and no cream cheese in it❤😅
Also we have delicious and kind crazy pizzas here. Very different for American ou Italian ones. Try some
Make the butter chicken burrito that STCG made. Butter chicken literally goes with everything, you won't regret making that (also since you mentioned pizza: if you do make the burrito, make a pizza as well. Pro tip: use Pesto sauce in the base as well. Any pizza base, a thin layer of pesto to set things off, top off with butter chicken, and then a good cheese blend. Add some slivers of red onions, some coriander, and brush the edges of the pizza with oil or butter)
lol i love how the chicken parm pizza is just a really big chicken parm
I like the idea of remaking some viral foods from restaurants in videos, I always see foods featured on tik tok and I’m like damn I wish I could go to (whatever location it is) it would be cool to see you try to make them!
I love your videos! I didn't know about Tasty being dead or BA being canceled because I only consume (get it?) their content through you. Thank you for everything, David. Keep going, even if it's in a new direction!
Yeay David! I was thinking of making birria and, once again, you have made up my mind on what to make for dinner!!! Love your channel ❤
your smaller version of the "chicken parm pizza" confirms what I had already thought. It's not a pizza. It's just chicken parm. What is the pizza part? It being a big circle? is that all it takes to be a pizza?
👍 Love your videos. (Get some sandpaper, then you can sand the cutting board until the marks are gone,& rub/season it with oil.)
David, while I admit it's highly entertaining to watch you go in pretty hard on the TikToker's who have gone too far, but I LOVE when you find something delicious and truly enjoy yourself!! Fun one!
Would love to see some historical recipes! Could be fun! Also trying out more plant based recipes 😊. Love your channel btw!
I love it when you compare different recipes for the same dish. Very helpful. Isn't your origin testing things out so we know if it's any good?
I adore your 🍕🍕🍕 videos David! One of my favorite foods! God bless you man! Love ya!😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Keep up the great work David! 😄
i hope you don’t lose inspiration 🥺 i genuinely believe you have enough skill and creativity to create your own recipes and improve others!
I think a lot of people look for recipes that incorporate some sort of “hack” to make cooking easier, quicker or simpler. A lot of the time, Tasty videos were over the top & not practical, while BA’s videos were chef grade and time consuming lol. So I think that’s what makes TikTok food videos / trends so popular because they’re quick, easy and usually pretty good.
I’m wondering now whether to make a pizza birria or the birria burritos I was originally planning for Sunday…. Hmmm! Choices, choices!!!
Been watching you for years !! One of my fav! Would you ever do a fav 5 of what you’ve liked in past few years. TikTok stuff ? Keep creating pleaseeee ❤❤❤
That's what brought me here peak pandemic; remaking Claire's hot pocket from her BA days. Been here ever since. Thanks for making great videos!
Birria pizza looks sooooooooo good omg drooling
Thank you for this video 🥰
Hey David! I've been watching your videos for years, and you're always my go-to source when I want to remake anything seen on the internet. Love your content, and I even got my boyfriend addicted to your videos as well. There isn't a morning without us watching at least one of your videos during our breakfast 🤗🍳✨
I really hope you will keep making videos. I am not sure about the rest of the community, but I would be happy to see any videos from you. Even gaming videos on like overcooked or food related games! Keep up the good work and great attitude about life. Wishing you all the best from Romania :)
both of these look incrediblleee
First one is like a quesadilla. Looks great!
David: "I have no words"
Also David: "Words"
You should try cooking some venezuelan food, maybe arepas rellenas, tequeños, cachapas, I'd love to see you try it ♥
That Birria Pizza made this man reach Nirvana
Dude its so cool to see you happy eating this food 😅
True i used to watch tasty and bon appetit while eating their shows were just amazing i hope they make more fun series soon
As a mexican I'd like to say: that looked amazing ❤ Good job David!
I made a quesadilla and fried chicken parm and called them “pizza”!
Don’t worry about the cutting board, I did the same thing to mine. I sanded / resurfaced it then resealed / oiled it with butcher block oil and it was as good as new. If that seems too complicated it’s also (in the scheme of things) not too expensive to just buy a new board.
Both them pizza's honestly looked so good. I would love to try the 1st one though. Well I would like to try them both 😂😋🤤🤤
I always know that when David closes his eyes blissfully and smiles despite himself, it's DAMN good. I'm a serious pizza snob, but birria pizza is just THAT GIRL. No question.
You could always bring back that series with the restaurants and you finding your own recipes. Or you could do more comparisons between youtubers
I wished I could put my hands through the screen and grab piece. These foods look so damn yummy!!
IT EXISTS! I thought birria pizza was a vision I had in a dream
The cutting board is fine , has character ,and you can sand it
it's ok the char on the cutting board just adds flavor
is this what Adam Ragusea wanted LMAO
Hi David, in regards to the damage cutting board. You may be able to fix it by sanding it down and then re-sealing it with some type of wood oil not sure exactly what it’s called but there are relatively easy ways to fix a wooden cutting board.
Try Half Baked Harvest recipes . They're so yummy
I would love to see a video where you redo your favorites and/or let us know which recipes are now a staple for you. 🥰
You can also hit up cookbooks/websites with recipes that stand out. Or even try more food from other cultures-- middle eastern food has lots of variations you can try out, so does latin american food (not just mexico!), or chinese cuisines that vary a lot per province
Hey just FYI, your TikTok link needs an @ between the slash and your username, otherwise the link just goes to a 404 error. Also, thinking of trying the chicken parm pizza tonight (but might just make it as regular chicken parm instead). Keep up the good work!
1:39 "shout out to the worker who hooked me up with these things for free"
working retail i always fear to get a comment like this in the feedback surveys/ google reviews cause it was defs unauthorized and head office sees them sometimes 🤣
I’ve never had Birria before and now i need to.
There is a similar channel to yours on youtube called anti-chef. They're cooking recipes out of pro chef cookbooks. Maybe you can find some inspiration from that. For example, you could do a "favourite internetchef recipes" series and have an alternate version of each recipe in the video for comparison. Good luck !
Ok now I need your top 10
Papa John's has something called a "Doritos® Cool Ranch® Papadia®", please try one and recreate it. 😂
The second one would be very easy to make low carb, just sub crushed chicharonnes for the panko. Imma do that very soon, because my GOD do I miss pizza.
Could always try the BWB route, and try making dishes from TV and movies. And after that birria quesadilla, I think we need to give David a minute; his tastebuds had an O~
Taco Island in Mt Sinai NY (Long Island) makes a fantastic Birria pizza. Absolutely delicious!
I want to see you tackle an oldie but a goody, Epic Meal Time.
You could always try some of the historical recipes from tasting history!!
great now I’m intensely craving birria tacos as 2am
Congratulations, you’ve made a quesadilla. Looks delicious!
I love when you test the tiktok recipes and compare them
Video game or anime shows foods. I love this channel for its relatability so much
I noticed that you didn't add cinnamon to the birria, give it a try! It's traditional and adds to the complex flavors beautifully 😁
Let make 2 pizza recipes. First lets make a quesadilla and second lets make chicken parm?!?! Where is the pizza??? Haha 🤣
Would love to see you do some of the less insane (and the insane ones) Chef Club videos!
Could be a good replacement for Tasty/Buzzfeed.
honestly if you are looking for crazy recipes (and piggybacking off some of the other suggestions) try looking at some Mythical Kitchen videos! They have a “make fast food fancy” which you might have to tone down a bit for budgets sake, a bunch of food battles with actual food, and food battles with weird TikTok recipes.
I want to see you try the Peepza battle, very interesting looking food 👀
And I think you convinced me, I will look into doing the birria recipe (especially because this looks crockpot friendly, which is a plus)
You made a Schnitzel - congrats from Germany!
can you share the birria recipe you used? you said it wasnt listed on that insta post.
Also for video ideas, get into the food CZcamsrs shorts community, lots of recipes they all make but not always in depth and I trust your palette!
Could you test the one ingredient chocolate mousse recipe?
As someone who has to buy mexican ingredients from one specific (expensive) speciality store, what is oaxaca cheese like? Is it substituteable? It looks like a rolled up strip of low moisture mozzarella? Does it have a specific taste that you cant substitute?
Oaxaca cheese is very similar to a low moisture mozzarella in terms of its stretchiness and overall taste. Oaxaca cheese is just a tad more sour, sturdy and stretchy (almost squeaky like a cheese curd sometimes) and a little less salty
@biancajingles2690 thank you! This is a very clear and actionable answer
Do taste tests of various chef's products. Chef John, Joshua Weissman, Mythical Josh, Babish, NACS, Alex the French guy, you name it.
chicken parm is always a win in my heart.
Here's an idea. Epicurious has a video series called "4 Levels..." Maybe do all three levels of each recipe and see which one you like the best? 🤷🏾♂️
I can't express how much I want birria tacos! But the price to get everything!
i would devour these recipes like a starving victorian child offered a loaf of stale bread
Like you, I’m of Italian heritage, but you had me at birria!
David, do some Brian Lagerstrom recipes!!
That's a quesadilla dawg
But it's a bomb-ass quesadilla so no harm no foul
I think trying out comfort recipes from around the world would be cool
You could make some of your own recipes that ypu love, or some family favourites!
You could try making Epicurious 3-Levels recipes and see how they compare? Epicurious is really good and still doing the series. Or you can try their Swap series where a home cook and a professional chef switch ingredients and make do
Food 52 is excellent NY magazine has its own chefs and some of Ba have their own channels. And You Tube also have good food content.
Maybe you can make Oxtail pizza. I've been seeing that stuff everywhere
Considering you have Albanian ancestry too you could make flia!! It’s very popular however on it’s own it’s bland and we eat it with spicy peppers/paprika tomatoes and feta cheese
Your cutting board is probably fine! Just sand it down a bit and re-oil it haha
A pizzeria by me actually sells a fat chicken vodka, which is a long sub roll filled with chicken tenders, fries, mozzarella sticks, and vodka sauce. I think you'd like it!
You should do some of the recipe club podcast recipes.
I actually gasped out loud at the pizza steel being put on the cutting board. Hopefully it can be sanded down. Great video!
