- I've uploaded this song before, but a version with new lyrics was just released on the 2018 re-release of Nightfall in Middle-Earth. Besides one other person who posted a video of their vinyl playing this song, I haven't seen any other videos of it. This is taken from the CD version.
I honestly don't know which version of this song I prefer; this one or the one with altered lyrics from Beyond the Red Mirror's limited edition.
Note: I don't actually have the "special edition" featured in the Traveler's Guide boxset, and this song isn't on that version. This is just the cover I am using for my digital copy, because I found it more epic than the common one.

Can we talk about how mind-blowingly brilliant Hansi's vocal performance in this song is? Not that it's a bad song, but Hansi adds so much to it.
I'm a new BG fan. I didn't know that there are some songs with different versions! Nice to discover.

The Forgotten Tales: The tracklist was outright expanded to include material all the way up to 2010.
I would post The Tides of War (both mixes of that song actually), but that song keeps getting blocked on CZcams.
The next song I'm going to upload is actually a song I've uploaded before; Memento by Epica. Last time, the audio was sourced from another CZcams video, and slightly adjusted in Audacity to be at the same level as the rest of the album. This time it's special, as I got my hands on a vinyl copy of The Quantum Enigma and was able to convert the song to digital myself.

@@chaotickclock3071 The version that came with the Rock Sound magazine sounds slightly more clear than the one on the Nightfall reissue.
@@dawn9240 yeah i just heard it recently. Its a bit heavier on the reissue. Alot more focus on the instruments on the songs in this reissue. While i dont mind it, its come at the cost of removing some vocal tracks from certain songs. But at the end of the day its just a new way to listen to a classic song so i dont mind

I think it's about the Valar and Feanor's oath / curse. That would explain why it was cut from Nightfall in Middle-Earth; a lot is crammed in 1 song, and the subject matter was ultimately covered across The Curse of Feanor and Nightfall.

There are two versions of this song. One is on the limited and Japanese editions of Beyond the Red Mirror, and the other is on the 2018 remix of Nightfall in Middle Earth.

@@aledg25 might be one of the most stupid and ignorant comments i've ever seen, are you that inept of accepting criticism? i am legit one of the biggest blind guardian fans and this album just has terrible mixing, not with this song since this is from the red door but the other songs from that compilation have terrible mixing just go listen to nightfall for example it sounds so thin and all over the place
