Ya feel me??
We all feel ya dog!!
Great advice, my first meet next week 🫡
I hear me silent mike
I pulled 450lbs yesterday and was super happy with it, until I got home and went on Instagram/CZcams, lol.
Naww be happy! Keep focusing on your path and small incremental PRs
Thats because what you find are people dedicated to the craft. Sure enough you walk into your gym your prob in the top 5% strongest in there
Comparison is the thief of Joy my friend
@@angrilothangriloth3558 I hear that.
That’s massive man don’t compare yourself to the .5% compare yourself to yourself last week month year
I compete in my first meet in 2 weeks time - I started 2 years ago just as covid lockdown started. And seriously, powerlifters are the nicest friendliest people I have ever met.
How’d you go???
What's the difference between powerlifting training and bodybuilding?
@@seetsamolapo5600 powerlifting is purely for strength and bodybuilding is to build hypertrophy which is to get a good body shape
@@lordego414 is powerlifting all about squats, bench presses and deadlifts?
@@wisaalkhan3512 well yes and no, as those are the major compound movements i.e the big 3
So yeah basically yes
I squat 380 lbs last week i am just 5'6ft 153lbs. After that squat i can't walk within 3days it's so painful but i can see my progress is showing my friends noticed that my legs has getting more toned and cuts. No pain no gain.
380 at 153 is crazy!! Sick lift man
@@pepethepackerfan6088 thank you Sir but i have a spotter on that one because its twice my size it's so vein popping the pressure.
Yo bro how do h start powerlifting
@@WilfredoDiaz-ur8jk Don't ever undercut your achievements. You lifted 220% of your weight. Spotter or no that is an achievement.
amazing
When you JUST started powerlifting and the goat uploads this gem 😩🙏🏼
Ayyeee let’s go universe timing
Super dope video! Just started following a powerlifting program 6 months ago and your channel has allowed me to learn a ton. Keep ‘em coming! I’m here for it
Ayyee let’s get it, glad I can help
Hey man what program ru following I just started powerlifting and need a program
Looking to open the first powerlifting gym in my city and needed to watch this man!
Glad to hear this ! Keep up the great work ! Just gotta get it open and flyers out to people so they can come check your gym out and including abertise on social media to get more people that way to GOOD LUCK !
This is my first time seeing anything from this channel and I’m definitely subscribed!! I’m just now starting my training to eventually become a power lifter hopefully but the knowledge from this video was so encouraging ✊🏿💯
Progress check
I've recently started hitting the gym again after a long hiatus, but did various sports throughout my life. Mostly did it for health, but in my future profession and lifestyle, lifting heavy things has become a must 😅 I'm looking into powerlifting and this video is such good summary for the overview of lifting! Thank you so much! ❤
This is the only powerlifting/ lifting channel I follow/ click on and watch videos from start to finish.
Mann means a lot 🙏🏻🤘🏼
I put most of my focus on cardio, and bodyweight exersizes. Gomna start heavy lifting about once a week, and see how my training is transferring. I feel like i will be at less risk of injury this way.
Cracked 315 first time deadlifiting
Love the note about the tangible results, it feels awesome to be able to measure something with numbers! Not to knock the hard work of a bodybuilder, but for me, guessing I look "a little better" by looking in the mirror seems tough to me :)
I think it’s important for both, even if aesthetics are your main goal, gauging orogrsss by rep PRs and load often best for progress and mentality
I don't think you understand how bodybuilding works. As someone who's trained for hypertrophy, strongman, powerlifting in 8 years that's a laughable way to understand bodybuilding. You're taking the clueless gym bros as a representation for an entire community in which there are people who are educated on what they're doing.
I'm aiming to compete between June-July. Never done powerlifting or had a PL trainer. My PR's are Bench 255lbs, Deadlift 455lbs, Squat 405lbs at a bodyweight of 220lbs. Really excited for 2024!
Nice man good luck for that. I’m looking to do the same In 1 year time. I’ve been training consistently for 7 months now so want to get plenty more experience, but can safely say I’m on the right path and by the sound of things so are you!
Thanks! I know you don’t coach anymore, but I still wish you would offer a form check package! The meet at 3rd Street Barbell was amazing!
Thank you, you are very humble brother.
This is super well made Mike!
Thank ya thank ya
thanks, motivated me af to get started
Thanks bro 💯
Im thinking about doing my first meet soon
Good bless all the powerlifters.
I have been doing bodybuilding programs for years. I never wanted to compete in anything though, I do it purely to feel good about myself and for those sweet endorphins lol. I decided to do a powerlifting program next week and suddenly, I had this weird beginner anxiety where I thought "everyone is going to look down on me because I don't plan to compete/use the wrong program/look silly doing singles etc." That's why I really appreciated the woman saying hey, just do these three exercises and you're fine. I'm very nervous but also very excited because it feels like I'm entering a new sport!
Thanks for the video and nice to see the both of you give comments about powerlifting and what's it all about. I myself have a 'official' meet in at 3 week the SBD cup in the Netherlands. I enjoy everthing about it and even a little addicted to the squat bench deadlift. My only problem is im 45 years old and I also do kickboxing since a year now but even before kickboxing i think my progression is very poor. I have a coach who helps me out. Is it the age or just my potential? I train 3-4 times pl and 2 times kickbox training
Over 40 years old here too. Age makes a massive difference. You may be over training I find working out 2-3x a week (as a natural) gives you time to recover and progress. But I haven’t progressed in a long time. I think it’s because I’m now a ‘mature’ lifter. I may be wrong.
I’ll be competing on my first powerlifting meet at your gym so excited 🔥🙏🏼
Keep up the great work!🎉
🙏🏻 thank u we doing our best
hey, seems like a very nice and useful video. thank you 🙂
Just started, my third time deadlifting and I’ve increased 35 lbs since day one.
I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic
Thats very easy in the beginning. A lot of it is loading the body to a weight it isn't used to.

I would love to get into powerlifting. However, my schedule and finances make it tough. But I do workout 3-4 times a week at a gym, even though it's not a powerlifting gym. Yet I just mainly use machines though.
I started getting into lifting this earlier this year and was really enjoying it, but about a month ago I twisted my ankle pretty bad at work. I can feel it's getting close to healed now but I was wondering if you had any suggesting for getting back into the grind after not lifting for a while
Go hard bro thats all it is its all mental my man, just scream it out and pull the fucking weight. Just be careful with your previous injury.
If you twisted your ankle pretty bad then I would have gone up gradually week by week. How did you get on?
Silent, muito obrigado pelas suas dicas amigos, são sempre muito boas e estou avançando demais no powerlift, irei chegar em marcas melhores, logo, logo. 🇧🇷
First day in the gym and did 200lbs deadlift 2 reps❤
Recommendations for how to maintain shoulder mobility after bench? I’ve been struggling
Great Video
I just started deadlifting and the first thing I did I went up to 315 (5reps) and everyone was just surprise as I was lol
If I wanna do a 4 day power building split do u think I could just do 2 days a week where I do all my compounds then 2 days where I do accessories?
You can do whatever you’d like ya,
Depends on goals but I’d probably orginize it differently
I just now found your channel with this video. I will say the cringe is a maybe 4-5 out of 10, The big (and I do mean BIG) but your drive to help people is an easy 9/10!
Im giving up on body building. I just wanna have fun lifting again instead of worrying about perfecting everian hitting every muscle group there is. Power lifting seems so much more simple
I’ve been in the gym for 2 years. Weightlifting for about 1.5 yrs. Powerlifting for about 4 months. Competing in May. I’m fucking terrified 😭
A lil nerves are normal, just prep best you can and try to have fun
As a person who's had sciatica issues, would you recommend me to start or stick to bodybuilding. I've been body building and had to stop doing certain workouts due to sciatica pain issues. What are your thoughts?
I’d say just mix them . Powerlifting and bodybuilding are complementary.
I had chronic low back pain for the most of my adult life and Last year I started working out for real and hired a PT.
Fast forward,my lower back diminished but, when I changed to a most powerlifting focused exercises, the back pain was really gone.
Into small words, powerbuilding exercises like squat and deadlifts are the holy medicine for the lower back pain. Not only that, you will really connect to your body and reveal your true self as a human being . Trust me. Just make sure you start slow, hire a coach and don’t ego lift
@@brtmbrtm4327thank you for this. Wish I saw it sooner
HEYYY that’s my city in the intro 😊 Sacramento
Hey Mike, hope you’re well. I’m an 18 year old uni student who’s looking to get into powerlifting. Is there a way I could contact you to get some advice and structure/programme?
Www.kizentraining.com has all my knowledge and prigrmMing

i want to be a powerlifter... and i am absolutely not sad because i can only squat with 20 kg now... i got operated for a ligament tear on my right knee so yea i will take time but i will be fucking strong because i am genetically insanely strong...
Gonna start lifting soon
No better time to start then now
I would like to start powerlifting just need a program to follow , help?
I squat 120 kilos, I weigh 120 kilos, and I’m 120 years old. Is that good? 😅
Do you follow a specific meal plan whenever your training?
I eat adequate protein and track my food when I’m dieting, keeping it simple
I was able to deadlift 315 and its been like 6 years just started going back the gym and I was only able to do 225😅😢
5,6 145lbs lamo
I'm 38 years old but recently became very interested in powerlifting. Am I too old to start?
Nope! Never
Nice

Where can I find a meet?
Background music sounds like miss the rage
Stopped going to the gym in a year and I’m ready to make my hiatus. Wish me luck brothers
400 deadlift possible while natty?
Best youtube channel?? Whose the powerlifting version of Jeff Nippard?
I want to powerlift but I’m shy and I don’t like stares lol
Can I choose Powerlifting as a Beginner instead of routine Gym going and do all those exercises?
If strength is your goal, even muscle Powerlfiitng is a great foundation
Bring ed phys back! I slept on it. Its just painsful😢
Mannn can’t be napping! All our collections are small batch, one off designs. But just wait till
You see what’s cooking next
Those freedom units always confuse me
Im sorry can i clean here?
I have my first meet in 23 days

Wsp I'm 13 and can deadlift 225
i stopped searching for coaches when they just want to implement what they for them and ignore all the insights from my body response over many years of trainning. A coach that doesn't listens is worthless. It sucks that is so hard to find a good one.
ayo!

I wanna get in comps but don’t know how to eat clean haha
In comps? Like bodybuilding? No need to eat “clean” just need to manage calories
@@SilentMike yeah I wanna enter the Arnold classic something haha
can someone start at age 47?
You look like Jimmy Broadbent
It’s never too late to start!

I've never heard anybody talk so much and give no information out in my life.
My dude, I ain’t teaching a university course, it’s a gym vlog with some fun and a lil info
@@SilentMike my bad brother. I guess I was expecting the whole shebang. I just entered my first USPA, and was trying to get the lifts down proper before this four month prep is over. I got you on the big screen right now watching some other lifts your doing.
“I squat 400 pounds and I’m
400 years old” 😭😭😭😭😭
Whole lotta talking ...
Might go to jail to focus on powerlifting
your video is just a black nothing with your voice
I did not get any useful information from this video, this was more about psychological support.
Guy talking about powerlifting while riding a CrossFit bike 👎
Just wasted my time on some BS
Have you all gained your fat like CRAZYYY! I GOT A FAMILY PACK🥲
