- This week i thought I would take the to the skies with the Eachine E520S a small and much lighter DJI Mavic Pro 2 quadcopter clone. In today's unbox and flight video we unbox the quad and have a good look at it then we take to the skies and see what it can do. A few features of the quad include, RTH, Follow Me, Waypoints, 1080p video recording and photo taking.

I loved the way you removed the fake antennas!!! That's what prompted me to 'Thumbs-Up' your video...
I just got one of these E520S 5G/4K which I won in a contest that I forgot I entered. One thing I noticed when you were calibrating the gyro is that you were turning it counterclockwise (I can just picture millennials looking at their digital watches or smart phones with a puzzled look on their faces, lol) when the nose was facing up. According to the manual and the on-screen instructions, the quad should be turned clockwise in this position. Not sure if that would have made any difference though. Also, since you have the 5G version, the range should be around 150-250m, and even if it should loose the TX signal, it is suppose to return to it's starting point on it's own. As far as the return to home accuracy, civilian GPS systems are usually limited to within 4.9m (16ft). Military systems are quite a bit more accurate because they use multiple GPS satellites for determining location. Thanks for your interesting review.

The plastic shell isn't too bad, mine fell over 30 feet from a tree straight down onto it's face and the only thing that happened was the battery backed out about 1/2 inch. Works fine no damage.

Not a bad little toy though buddy. When you mention an auto return to home at 20 meters or so. I took my Bugs 4 out over the weekend and yesterday when flying it kept returning home on its own at about 30 or 40 meters each time, yet people say they have flown over 500 meters etc. There is a setting in transmitter called Parameter Settings where you can change numbers higher or lower, what are best numbers to put in for altitude and distance so it does not keep coming back buddy? Thanks again for any advice or help you can offer.

Hello. For a few days the eachine tec app crashes when I select the e520s drone. Do you have the same problem? Have you found a solution?
JD Great review! The return to home feature is off because you need to take off and go up 10 meters before moving in any direction. If you take off and go straight up first (to 10 meters) then move the return to home will be spot on!
How do you put the app in Metric(meters)?
It is not in the setting menu

So glad you covering this quad i am in the market for upgrade ,I am a noob. I have seen this quad and wondered what it like. I also like the E58 and have watched your vids on that model. I a budget guy also seeing as i learning dont want to spend too much at moment. Love your channel JD awesome work.
Have a look at the mjx b5w on Ali Express great qaud 18 mins batt and holds like a rock with gps .I got 2 of them there that good price 150 with two Batts.

@@jdquad I love your channel and you accent ,I feel I with my sister in Wales,and not get to see her enough. Anyway drone, was thinking about E58 as upgrade but then this is out, e58 well cheap but this is so affordable too. And as I say I still only new at this. I want to get good drone pics/video ,but not in high end price range. It a toss up between eachine and visuo .

Well it did come back, it didn't fall out of the sky and like you said u been flying some of the $better$ $quality$dones$on$the$market$!
So the lurning curve has to rise up again for enishal toy grade flight! Odd how toys seem to take more attention and all around interaction to keep them Insight,out of trees, in the air for little camera quods? The better Quod are great fun near Perfection! That bit of unpredictable of the Toy grade almost seems more exciting or stressful could be used! The thing I respect most about it besides it lived again to fly another day. What was it 240?something Grams Its all about the Grams. Some things you just can't forget to save my live! Wish battery tec would creep along a littie faster so we could fly the light weights for a bit longer! Great Review U covered ah every thing one would need to know in order to fill good about the long trip from China

Hi JD, do you know how to replace the blades of the 520s?
Ugh... I'm trying to figure out how to fly this thing for the first time. Slow down and explain what you are doing and why it's necessary. "Quick up down" was so fast I couldn't tell what you were doing. But, I can back it up and replay and catch a lot of what you are saying. But when you turn it on, what does this blink mean? What's a slow blink and what's a fast blink? Is there some order of steps to follow? You know what I mean. It will be helpful if you *explain* what you are doing and *why.* Thanks

Gracias, el video del quadcopter es una pecera bastante a 120 grados, que es solo la lente que utiliza el fabricante.
is the Eachine E58 better in flying or this one?
The issue you had with it bustin' out to the side on take-off is because you assumed you have to put your thumb-sticks inwards (left-stick - down and right and right-stick - down and left) to start it, but actually it's down and left for the left-stick and down and right for the right-stick (RTFM :p). Also you did it in a very quick succession, but you can just start it with the thumb position I suggested and she will just stay on the ground powered-up until you hit up on the left stick.
I've never flown any of them big budget drones so I have no idea how it compares, but it handles very well in my opinion. Very fun drown and surprisingly high build quality on this one. I own the E58 eachines drone as well, a smaller lighter model. But that just parishes in the sight of this. Definitely get this E520s model if you are looking for a fun easy to fly model with most of the tricks the bigger budget models seem to have. It's super cheap compared to the big boys and well build.

hello. i bought this drone an i 've got a problem.During the drone is in the air, suddently, the drone falls even, i press the bottom to take off more hight, it does not work.it continues to fall down without control.

Why it is supposed to have a 4K HD camera but the video quality is so bad?
Well the camera is good and no rolling shutter, but that takeoff was scarey 😳 I think, given its handling characteristics I will give this one a miss😁

Nice honest review, I'm guessing a piece of broken plastic from the antenna fell down into the remote causing the issue with the right stick. Rattle, Rattle..

Hey Alan you can format it on your computer or from the settings of the app.
@@jdquad I can see the symbol for the SD card under the camera settings but when I press it nothing happens, I think the drone is faulty as it will take still pics/video to my phone , I put an SD card from my GoPro in which I know works and that didn't record either. I have been back to Banggood and they want more info!

The 128 GB SD card is too big. It didn't record to me either. Inserting the 64GB card immediately began to work properly

JD I love your reviews! But the one thing that we differ on is the quality of these toy drones, in my opinion this thing is a pile! I apologize if I'm offending anyone that is very faithful to this brand, but I think feel like you are wasting your money. you can get a much better drone in my opinion the bugs 5w is a much better choice although the arms do not fold in. Just my opinion,
