Undervolt and UC/UV is also without backplate.
Nice video

Show us how to undervolt
@@reasontoberider499 ok, will show you in next video.

In the video you try to test the temperatures with undervolt and w/o backplate ?
Yes, I forgot to mention that undervolt and uv/uc is also without backplate.
Yo bro, when you open up your gou, did you also changed the thermal pads or only the thermal paste?
No
😂
I have a gigabyte rtx 2060 super windforce oc, even after taking off the plastic backplate, redoing the thermal paste, and changing the thermal pads I still get 105c on the gpu hotspot and 85c on the gpu die. I honestly think it's just the fact that gigabyte made really bad cooling designs for the windforce oc edition cards. Is there anything else I can do to potentially minimize the amount of heat this thing puts out?
Yes, it's has a bad cooler... What you can do:
1. Add a extra fan at 45° between card and psu blowing towards the card (fan should blow atleast to one fan of card) Tie it up to pc case somehow... That will also reduce temp by 6-7°....
2. Try undervolting with msi afterburner.. Set curve to 1830mhz at 875mv when GPU temp is 40c (important).... If after test it was stable reduce same 1830mhz to a lower mv.. ro it until u find a sweet spot.
The fan u add beneath the card won't lower temp, if u don't have atleast one front intake chasis fan.
Edit: when front chasis fan pushes air inside case, the extra fan u ad beneath card inclined blowing towards card channelise that air into GPU cooler.

I also removed front mesh of my pc case, temp reduced even more with pc case fan
@@GameplayUnboxed thanks for the feedback, I will try undervolting my gpu. As for airflow, I have 2 case fans pointing up towards the gpu but that doesnt seem to help much.
Playing gow at High graphics and my 2060S temperature is around 65-76...is that ok? Or is it over heating?
It's perfect, you should not worry until you pass 85c.
@@GameplayUnboxed thanks dude
can you tell me the size of the pads for the vram?
I don't know, Have never changed
Memory 0.5 mm
Anything else 1mm
@@_OzO_
Dude, I'm in desperate need of thermal pad thicknesses EXACTLY for this card! I almost changed it to 1mm, but the temperature in games could go up to 90 degrees. Then I changed and put 0.5mm and now it goes up to 80 degrees! The thermal pads had excellent conductivity, 6W/m-K, but there you go... and, when you say memory, which chips do you mean specifically? the ones around the main processor? I put 0.5 on those chips and 1mm on the capacitors...
I have the gainward model. After I change the thermal pad and paste, the temp still remain the same. Playing Red dead redemption 2 & forza horizon 5 it will stay at 83-84°C. I don't know what else to do😢
First open side panel of case and see if it reduces temp
@@GameplayUnboxed I've tried. It only drop for 1°c.
same it very hot
In the end I reduced temp by removing plastic backplate and placing a case fan inclined to GPU blowing towards GPU fans and also undervolting and underclocking to 1890mhz @ 856mv
@@GameplayUnboxed can I open the front if the case? Will it help
Is it safe to open the backplate
Not, if u dont know how to open without breaking.. and you should not do it to GPU under warranty.
Remnant: From the Ashes - its going 81% temperature its normal ?
If u have same gigabyte windforce oc then yes, it has poor cooler.. it can go as high as 85c.
