A race-to-8 double elimination bracket will reduce the field to 32 players who will then face single elimination, race to 10, to determine the champion.
This will be the ninth staging of the men’s World 8-Ball Championship. It had previously been played in Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates before being revived from a ten-year hiatus in Puerto Rico last year.
Also taking place in Klagenfurt this week: the Predator WPA World 10-Ball Women’s Championship (18-22 October) and the Predator WPA World 10-Ball Junior Championships (19-22 October), which has divisions for Girls, Boys Under-19s and Boys Under-17s.

Have they worked out whatever issues people were complaining about with the predator table? I was going to get one but was talked out of it because everyone said they were terrible tables and didn't like how they banked and all kinds of other things. So I really don't know what to believe. They look great to me although I have never played on one. I did end up getting the diamond blue label 9 foot which I am super happy with. But I am just wondering if they did fix whatever issues the predator tables had? Thanks.

Shane is playing against himself, he's hyper focused on his own game and what he expects from himself. It's not really about his opponent.
What happened to Kazakis. He was looking almost unplayable at one point but after his masters win has gone quiet

I think that's just how it goes. Everyone has their hot and cold streaks, Jayson Shaw had a year of pretty much complete dominance and he only recently won another major title. His first Matchroom one I believe. Nobody wins em all....

The commentators kept saying in the second game that the 10 ball didnt go anywhere. It went in the bottom right pocket. Clear as day.

They all did... they just got beaten in the early matches and didn't go very far in the tournament.

@slash7741 well regardless if they had been there , the results would have been the same. They were probably at a "Action cue" event... this was a "Predator" event. Idk

In Greece we play most of the time 8ball and a little bit of 9ball also we don't even know what is a 10ball

Yeah, this is why 8 ball should only be played on a 7ft table. It's the small table and lots of balls that makes it so tough. You see pro snooker players playing 8 ball not 9 ball!
