bro i get so nervous when i try to give myself a fade, i usually stick do tapers cuz it’s easier to do on myself, the last time i did a fade on myself it came out clean asl tho
Started cutting my hair back in September. The first time took me 4 hours just to get everything near-perfect. No rushing but just pure determination, patience, and improvement. Now it takes no longer than an 1 hour to cut my hair and/or someone else. Big thanks to this video‼️
Broooooo Huge Money savor foreal! Just faded mine for the first time, use to cutting my own hair but actually doing a technique fade, took me about 3 hours this vid, was definitely helpful! Sorry to my barber but I got save that $50 G 😂🤣😂
The simple fact that you went with the head shape and from where you started at that's a clean a** fade and I wish I could get something similar out here in the Bay and leave What I have on the top blended in.
I cut hair and if you want to learn easily knock off your 1st guid line first before starting a new one. Much more riskier of messing things up this method especially if you are starting to learn how to fade
100% I get lost in too many guide lines. When I cut my own I don't get the clear separation between the lines. Some hair seems to make it easier than others to see that.
Yeah was my bad at first I struggled to find the 2 second line. You have to do it in steps lever open than closed after that start the 2 guard line fr good technique
Facts bro, what drove me to doing my own cut was my dad and brother messing up the fade and barbers pushing back. You learn from you mistakes as you progress.
First time I ever did a fade, it came out so good, everyone thought I got it at the barber. But the next time I bombed it so bad I had to go to the barber to fix it. Recently I did another fade and bombed it again but not as bad. Now I bought a 3 way mirror and ringlight and am gonna buff out the guide lines as I make them. For anyone that wants a tip, DO NOT use trimmers to make guide lines until you are very experienced. Trimmers make hard lines, and if you're not a barber you won't know how to get rid of them
Been cutting my hair for about 8 months and I learned to stick to temple tapers and back tapers. Using the mirror all the way around is difficult. As long as you start with the biggest guard it’s harder to mess up.
1. Start off with trimmer to establish the guide line and bald it out 2. And then go up about a fingers width with the clipper level open 3. And then do the same thing with the 1 guard going about a fingers width 4. 2 Guard open go off the shape off his head (scoop) 5. 3 Guard open blend into the top 6. 1 and 1/2 open to blend in the second to bottom line 7. 1/2 Guard open for the line under 8. Last line break it up with the trimmer And then come in close with the clipper to finally blend it
Tried to do my own fade now I’m in a beanie for two weeks 😂
I felt the same pain, where you also overly confident?😂

Breaking up your line with the corner or your trimmers is a great idea. Glad I watched this, thanks
It's definitely one of the best and easiest explanations I've seen. I only wish it was this easy to do. Practice, practice, practice.

I'm looking for a hair clipper for fade and beard what you recommend ?
Wahls Senior Cordless seems to be a solid choice rn
I’m training to be a barber at the moment and fades are so difficult to me 😭
You have a great haircut is that the best one😊
I feel like this is the easiest and fastest way to learn just from this video
